We understand that creating tools and resources to support our colleagues is essential to the success of our organisation. It’s important that everyone feels safe, accepted, and valued at work—a place where they can thrive, be happy, and have their wellbeing prioritised. This includes offering the right support at the right time, as colleagues may be experiencing menopause themselves or supporting someone who is, either personally or professionally. We’re proud to have two dedicated Menopause Champions at InHealth, available to listen and provide support to our teams. Additionally, our Menopause Policy ensures that line managers can offer reasonable adjustments to any colleague needing extra assistance. This week we are facilitating a staff-led awareness call about Menopause, which is the 3rd call of it's kind this year alone! These sessions regularly engage colleagues across InHealth to share experiences, learn more and support others. We are proud of the progress we’ve made, and we’re committed to continuing the conversation as we've signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge. By breaking the taboo and normalising discussions around menopause, we aim to raise awareness, provide guidance, and offer ongoing support. #WorldMenopauseDay #Wellbeing #Championing #WeAreInHealth

We’re excited! Over the next few weeks, InHealth will be basking in some (hopefully) award-worthy glow, as we’ve entered a number of our services and healthcare facilities into a series of prestigious awards. In the #HSJPartnershipAwards2025, we’re hoping for some good news in three categories as we showcase our South East Manchester CDC in ‘Best Contribution to Improving the Efficiency of NHS services’ – this one is in partnership with our Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT and Stockport NHS Foundation Trust colleagues. We’ve also entered our South West CDC programme for ‘Best Provider of Diagnostic Services’ and our work in the Diagnostic Digital Integration space for ‘Best Provider of Digital Healthcare Services’. On Wednesday 6th November, we’ll be attending the Building Better Healthcare awards in London, where we hope to be successful in the category of ‘Best Private Healthcare Facility’ for our gorgeous Liverpool Community Diagnostic Centre in partnership with Vista Health. Also in November, we’re attending the LaingBuisson Awards to see if we can bag an award for our innovative Endoscopy training pilot and our Salford Community Diagnostic Centre, in partnership with Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. And we’ll have our fingers crossed for some award success in the Healthcare Design Awards, where we’re entering our recently opened, largest-yet North Bristol Community Diagnostic Centre, located at Asda Cribbs Causeway. If all that wasn’t enough, our People Services Team will be attending the In-House Recruitment Awards ceremony in late November - these annual, national awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of in-house recruitment and onboarding teams across the country, so we’re delighted for Hayley Wright, Talent Partner, who has been selected as a finalist in the 'Individual In-House Recruiter' category. Phew! We can’t wait to find out about all these smashing awards and will keep you posted! Every second counts when someone has a cardiac arrest. There are more than 100,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year in the UK, but fewer than one in 10 people survive. That’s why the Resuscitation Council UK call for more people to become ResusReady! It only takes a few simple steps to become ResusReady. Individuals who sign up must have completed CPR training within the last 12 months. 1. Shout for help. Gently shake the person who has collapsed. 2. Look and listen for signs of normal breathing. Look for the rise and fall of their chest. 3. Call 999. 4. Start chest compressions. 5. The ambulance call handler will tell you where the nearest automated external defibrillator (AED) is. If someone is with you, ask them to fetch it and bring it back. Do not leave the person if you are on your own. 6. If you have a defibrillator, switch it on and follow the instructions. The defibrillator will tell you exactly what to do. 7. Continue CPR. Continue giving CPR until: the AED asks you to pause while it reanalyses and gives another shock if needed OR a paramedic arrives and tells you what to do OR the person shows signs of life. To become #ResusReady, sign up for free CPR training today and help boost survival rates! 🔗 Learn more: https://buff.ly/3U8I8F4 As the UK's leading diagnostics and healthcare provider, we must be ready at all times to deliver life-saving services to patients in an instance of cardiac arrest or deterioration. That's why it's crucial that we equip our staff with advanced cardiac training and the tools needed to quickly respond to deteriorating patients, ensuring we provide the highest standard of care when it matters most. We're proud to be an accredited course centre running both Immediate Life Support and Paediatric Immediate Life Support training, as well as offering formal instructor training. We continue to work hard to safeguard patients and service users, respond to any incidents should they arise, and maintain resuscitation training standards to avoid loss of life. #PatientSafety #RestartAHeart #WeAreInHealth Jay Broadbent

Last month, our colleagues Diana and Urszula generously volunteered at the renowned RSPCA charity, spending the day at one of their shelters in Milton Keynes. Diana shared a wonderful recap of their rewarding experience: "We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her assistant, (and the main character - Benji - a rescued French bulldog). We were shown around, with explanations about emergency exits and cases and given our duties which included cleaning cat homes/litter, feeding them, organising the shed where the all stock was kept and sorting out the delivery. Thanks to InHealth, we had this great opportunity to help animals and we encourage everyone to volunteer, because it definitely makes a difference. It does not matter which charity you choose to support, just go for it!" We’re proud to offer a fully-paid volunteering day as part of our staff benefits package, encouraging all colleagues to give back to their communities. In honour of Dyslexia Awareness Week, we're proud to raise awareness of this event and take the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all our colleagues and patients. We believe that diversity and inclusion are vital to our success, and we actively support individuals with dyslexia through reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices. This week, we hosted a special Wellbeing & Inclusion session, led by two of our own colleagues: Laura Turner and Jemma Halliday, who shared their personal experiences with dyslexia. The event was a great success, sparking meaningful discussions, engagement, and brilliant ideas on how we can continue to create an inclusive workplace for everyone. We’re dedicated to making sure that all team members have the tools and support they need to thrive. Let’s continue to raise awareness, break down barriers, and celebrate neurodiversity together! 💙 #DyslexiaAwarenessWeek #Inclusion #NeurodiversityMatters #WeAreInHealth
