How can we generate pure drinking water from air? By harnessing the power of water vapour (humidity) in the atmosphere, we can create water when and where it’s needed with only a simple power source. The process is rooted in the science of condensation — similar to the dew you see on leaves in the morning, but applied at scale. Explore the technology that makes this possible, and discover how it’s transforming access to fresh water: https://lnkd.in/gxA96VMP

Satellite-based Earth observation data is increasingly applied across a wide range of fields, from climate change monitoring and resilient infrastructure development to civil protection, precision agriculture, and beyond. Last week, at the Società Italiana di Economia - SIE conference, I presented a paper that explores the potential economic impact of Earth observation data across various sectors. Our study specifically examines how this data may contribute to value-added growth and, ultimately, to GDP. This research, coauthored with Lorenzo Zirulia Massimo Florio Veronica Lupi @Paolo Castelnovo, employs several methods: a web scraping procedure, a survey targeting end-users of Earth observation services and applications, a Delphi method involving expert consultation, and Monte Carlo simulations. Further details will be shared soon…
