INNOSPACE has successfully test-fired a 3D-printed methane engine with 0.4-ton thrust, a new kick stage engine that will play a critical role in customized launch missions. On March 16, 2024, the Zawisza4000 engine, a key part of the Turbulence rocket, was successfully ignited for the first time. This event marks a significant milestone for the first Polish student-led project to develop a liquid-propellant rocket. 💥 With a goal of achieving 4.2 kN of thrust and an overall impulse of 40 kNs, the engine smoothly passed the ignition test, and we are excited to declare its overwhelming success! The ignition sequence is a delicate procedure that demands extreme accuracy because even the smallest mistake could lead to failure or harm to the engine.
