In today's workplace, it's crucial to strive for equity, not just equality. While equality aims to treat everyone the same, equity focuses on providing individualised support to ensure everyone succeeds. It's about fairness, not sameness. Imagine a scenario where everyone is given the same stool to watch a game over a fence, regardless of their height. Not everyone can see the game, right? This is where equity plays its role! Provide stools of different heights. Don't mistake Equity as giving stools, it's about catering to each person's unique needs. In our diverse workplaces, individuals face various challenges and barriers. It's essential to provide fair treatment based on individual needs and circumstances. By doing so, we unlock employees' true potential, fostering inclusive growth and success. Equity is not a privilege, but a right. Every employee deserves dignity and respect. By seeking perspectives, sharing ideas, and spending time with our colleagues, we build trust and make them feel valued.
