Using an F1 mindset to scale carbon removals 🏎   This week on Sustainability Huddle, we sat down with Kim Wilson, McLaren Racing’s director of sustainability, where we discussed in on the team’s Climate Contribution Programme revealed last November. In this conversation, we discuss how McLaren is assessing and leveraging #carbonremovals in pursuit of its net zero goal, with a specific focus on three key projects. Q. Aside from the name, what else will change? A. While changing our name from HAI to VAI marks a significant shift in the strategic focus of the association, our core services and offerings will remain unchanged. VAI will continue to deliver connection, advocacy, safety, education, and support for our members’ success with the same dedication and commitment that it has been known for since 1948. All HAI members are now VAI members. At present, there are no plans to change the membership dues. There is complete continuity of leadership, with the VAI Board of Directors and staff remaining in place to steer the association forward. Importantly, no programs or services will be eliminated. Instead, the association rebranded to grow. Membership is now open to any company, pilot, maintenance technician, or aviation professional involved in vertical aviation, whether they build, fly, fix, supply, or support vertical aircraft. This broadening of membership criteria reflects VAI’s commitment to foster a diverse and inclusive vertical aviation community. #PoweringUp #WeAreVAI
