But with so many options, how do you avoid decision fatigue and land the perfect spot? Here are key factors to consider: 1. Know Your Audience & Event Goals: A casual networking event thrives in a trendy bar, while a high-profile conference needs a sophisticated space. Understanding your audience and goals is the foundation for choosing the right vibe. 2. Location, Location, Location: Accessibility is key! Consider proximity to public transport, parking options, and distance for attendees (especially if travel is involved). 3. Space & Capacity: Don't crowd your guests! What distinguishes the great from the good? It can be hard for Event Managers to put their finger on why they feel they’ve had an amazing experience with a venue. We think it’s the cumulative effect of lots of little acts of kindness, rather than just one thing. Details matter. Things like: ☕️ offering a takeaway coffee on site visits - it can be hard to stay fuelled for a long day. 🛋️ an extra suite for the use during a long event so Event Managers have somewhere to work/rest/take a shower. 📱 a message when a new venue pops up we know they'll love, even if they dont have an enquiry. ⁉️ adding amenities in the room to help event managers while they are there - a list of ‘what’s on’ in the city or a contact list so they know who to go to for any of their needs. 🪑 setting up the room in their preferred layout so the client can visualise their event. Even better, setting up the rooms as their layout for the site visit (that is really above & beyond!). 🧁branding items such as cupcakes for their site visit – and having their logo on all welcome screens, in room screens etc to helps visualise the event.
