DoubleCloud is featured in an AWS case study for our effective use of AWS Graviton processors. While the market often favors Intel, we’ve shown that ARM-based solutions can excel when you have a trusted provider that handles complexity and technical risks on your behalf. 45% of our clients' clusters now run on ARM-based AWS Graviton processors, delivering a 15-20% improvement in price/performance. Check out the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/eUkd8HTd

🔍 AWS TGW Peering: A Hidden Gem for Inter-Region Connectivity Did you know that AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) peering can optimize inter-region connectivity? By establishing peering connections between Transit Gateways, you can leverage AWS's global network backbone for secure and efficient data transfers across regions. This can be more cost-effective and lower latency compared to traditional methods. Key Benefits: • Improved Performance: Low Latency: Improves data transfer speeds by leveraging AWS’s global backbone. Optimized Routing: Reduces network hops, enhancing performance. • Enhanced Security Private Network: Keeps traffic within AWS, avoiding the public internet. Consistent Policies: Apply uniform security and routing policies. • Scalability and Flexibility Global Connectivity: Easily scale your network across regions. Simplified Management: Manage multiple VPC connections through a single Transit Gateway. #AWS #TransitGateway #TGWPeering #CloudArchitecture #NetworkDesign #CloudComputing #TechTips

Thanks, Cheryl Razzell for the share.... AWS are running an event on March 13th in the afternoon about sustainability. This is a great way to hear more about greener development practices, this session will focus on how ARM designs energy-efficient hardware like processors and chips to reduce power usage. Pawel Moll will discuss ARM's sustainability strategy, how they measure and optimize for efficiency at the chip-level, new technologies and approaches to improve efficiency, and how customers can choose hardware designed for sustainability. #aws #sustainabilty #processors #strategy #greencomputing

Until recently, I hadn't given much consideration to AWS Graviton instances, typically opting for Intel-based ones. However, after conducting some practical benchmark tests on our platform in the past few weeks, we observed that AWS Graviton instances resulted in a 10% reduction in baseline CPU usage and improved response times. This weekend was the weekend of the migration and its always an amazing moment when you sit back and watch the platform orchestrate itself from one complete set of infrastructure to another a true testament to our platforms capability, resilience, and availability. The performance enhancements for our platform are undeniable, and AWS Graviton has now become our preferred choice for handling the workload.
