Day 11 of posting every day until I get a job in tech I apologize, my birthday took me away from these posts for a bit. Today, I want to talk about doing what you love. I genuinely love making games with Unity and Unreal Engine. I haven't focused much on game dev due to being told it's a very hard niche to get into and that job security is low. However, my argument is that software engineering in general is tough to break into right now, and job security is low across the board. So, game development can't be much worse, right? 😜 I'm seriously thinking about going this route—pursuing more game dev jobs and working on additional game development projects to showcase my technical ability and build a strong portfolio. Hopefully, I can find a job at a small game dev studio and work my way up from there.
