Detailed and controlled testing of PAH presence before and after contamination and subsequent cleaning is the route to discovering the efficacy of decontamination processes. We are currently testing cleaning efficacy at 40° and 60°C and then testing again after CO2 decontamination. The results will be of great interest. The Mistra SafeChem programme on safe and efficient chemistry by design is now entering its second 4-year period with 100 MSEK in funding.
