We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) to launch a comprehensive STEAM education program grounded in science, technology, engineering, the arts and maths. The five-year program - funded by the INPEX-led Ichthys Joint Venture - will integrate curriculum-aligned learning and informal learning opportunities, designed to nurture the next generation’s educational development through discovery workshops, school holiday programs, student internships, and teacher professional development. "At INPEX, we're committed to supporting the social vibrancy and economic resilience of our communities,” said INPEX Senior Vice President Corporate Bill Townsend. “We're proud to partner with MAGNT to deliver the A$ 1.3 million STEAM program in the Territory, supporting children and teachers across the Territory to foster passion for STEAM initiatives.”

In this abstract, I outline the key components of my internship project focused on enhancing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The project aimed to improve the accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of existing IEPs by conducting a comprehensive review and gathering feedback from stakeholders. Through collaboration with educators, therapists, and parents, I proposed and implemented modifications to better meet the needs of students with special needs. This work not only provided me with hands-on experience in the field of special education but also contributed to advancing personalized education. The abstract encapsulates the project's approach, outcomes, and the impact on students and the educational community.

Q: Describe your initial perspective of the career you are interning at. After being an intern there for a few weeks, how have your beliefs changed, and what are they currently? A: When I first started my internship doing math intervention at the elementary school I wondered how effective that classroom situation really was and if it would actually help the students catch up to where they were supposed to be. I didn’t really understand how it worked and how to best help the kids understand. Now that Ive been at the elementary school for awhile I’ve been able to see how effective intervention is. I’ve seen the kids we work with grow so much and watching them start to really understanding something is one of my big highlights. Giving the kids a space where they can catch up outside the pressure of a classroom that might make them feel like they’re constantly falling behind us super important and really beneficial.

The first in a series in which I grow increasingly aware of my mortality as we interview our current crop of interns.
It's a staple of every summer at LJC to welcome a new intern class to our offices! 👏 Working with students is always a ton of fun, and this year, we decided to put the class of 2024 to the test with some LJC trivia. Check out the first installment of our intern pop quiz as they tackle the trivia question: What year was LJC founded? 🤔 Here's a hint: while our firm was founded in 1999, it was incorporated with LJC in 2019. Check out their answers and let us know yours in the comments below! ⬇️

The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. In a capitalist economy, prices allocate capital and labor between competing uses, and capital assets like factories, mines, and railroads can be privately owned and controlled. https://lnkd.in/eB98Jnv9 GOOGLE. Here is a presentation for the project I've been working on throughout my internship. The objective of this project was to analyze how functional handles on benzophenone molecules affect how they would act as photo-crosslinkers for polymer networks.
