Tim and Greg, in their numerous podcasts, have shared valuable insights on how companies can achieve better results by improving their preconstruction process. One of the key factors, they point out, is having in-house designers, which allows for efficient management of the process. However, what if you use subcontracted designers? To address this, Sarah Walker is joining the show today to share her perspective as an outside designer. “…I think the most important thing about art for everyone, the artists included, the audience, is to keep an open mind and just go forward and try to expand it. Because art for me, really, actually has great utility. The utility is really about feeling yourself, understanding yourself. And the basic thing with that is we're very unknown to ourselves, you know? It’s a very simple thing: here we are, who we are, but how do we know who we are? We have to explore and that means going into the unknown.” Hafftka: Obstinance, Flow, and LFG The Future of Art, episode 26 is live now wherever you listen to podcasts and on YouTube https://lnkd.in/et563tcX

2moMarvin Gelman and I were the persons responsible for the Met Museum converting in the 80's and 90's to Lighting Services Inc. We had the help of Barbara Montgomery who was with us every step of the way. Marvin Gelman was passionate about the features of great museum lighting, his company's ability, and I learned from him. If you are going to do museum lighting right you still have no choice but to consider LSI as they are still as passionate about Museum Lighting. His legacy lives on as Dan is just as passionate. I have no connection to LSI these days but certainly I love seeing the results.
