I thought of you when I read this quote from "Transforming The Living Legacy of Trauma: A Workbook for Survivors and Therapists" by Janina Fisher - "if action was dangerous then, the body may have come to perceive sympathetic arousal as a threat, automatically triggering the parasympathetic system to slam on the brakes, bringing our movements to a grinding halt. Years later, the parasympathetic system may still be dominant, robbing individuals of energy, drive, and confidence." Start reading this book for free: https://a.co/ebypTdV

Today's post is on "The Time Has Come," by Will Leitch. We learn the lives and stories of a number of folks in Athens, Georgia, all of whom will be involved in an incident at the end of the novel. The main character, a schoolteacher, seeks to avenge what she believes has been imposed by the drugstore owners in the Covid era. It is a well done novel. The book can be found at https://lnkd.in/ghaaG3_P.
