NEW E-BOOK | With demand for #5G rising and #6G on the way, mobile operators need more of everything— more bandwidth and frequency support, more capacity and reach, more spectral efficiency and RF conditioning, more backhaul and power. That means adding more equipment, ports, bands and cabling to an already cluttered RF path. So how do you do it without adding more complexity? With over 180 pages, CommScope discusses the comprehensive #RF path, the challenges and how those can be addressed to help you succeed with your network builds: https://lnkd.in/efsPDpVv

New technologies, such as WiFi7 or 5G, are increasing the transmission rate in local wireless networks. Theoretically, 9.6 Gbit/s can be achieved with WiFi 6, while WiFi 7 can reach up to 30 Gbit/s. But how to connect access points to local data networks? Our expert Matthias Gerber, Market Manager LAN Cabling, explains the details and provides solutions. ▶️ https://lnkd.in/eU8ngdy2 #ConnectivityThatMatters #WiFi7 #AdvancedNetworking #NextGenWiFi #LANSolutions #TechInsights

Fixed wireless provides internet access using wireless signals rather than cables. Unlike traditional broadband that might use phone lines or cable systems, fixed wireless uses antennas and microwave signals, ensuring rapid deployment and often serving areas difficult to reach with wired solutions. Fixed wireless links are engineered to provide 99.9% uptime at a predicted level of capacity that is designed for the number of users on the network. #wifi #internet #telecom

📞 The PSTN switch-off delay will give small businesses and consumers more time to upgrade from copper to fibre. As I mention in the article below, there is a lack of awareness of what the switch-off entails, especially to consumers. The cost of upgrading is also a huge barrier for small businesses. The 2027 deadline should provide more time for companies to factor in the necessary costs and upgrade their systems. #pstn #voip #fibre
Looking to save costs? The experts remain unanimous - don't wait until January 2027 for the PSTN switch off - enjoy operational advantages with enhanced flexibility and improved service reliability by switching over to VoIP and fibre. Early adoption will avoid last-minute bottlenecks and could include cost savings. Be sure to build your switch over into your company plans, and find out what the following experts have to say: Steven Try from Snom Technology GmbH, Louise Elliott from BeFibre, Finbarr Goode Begley from Cavell, Patrick Fenner from DefProc Engineering, Stephanie Seekings from Getronics, Kristian Torode from Crystaline Communications Ltd, Jamie Snaddon from 8x8 and Dominic Norton from Spitfire Network Services Ltd. https://lnkd.in/dBhXzjN6

Hey everyone! 👋 In our latest video, we once again dive into the world of LiFi technology and explore the essential accessories you need to make your LiFiMAX system work seamlessly. 🔍💡 The LiFiMAX system is a game-changer in the realm of wireless communication, harnessing the power of fast infrared to deliver internet via invisible light. While the kit comes with a LiFi access point, USB dongles, a mounting kit, and USB-C cables, there are two additional pieces of equipment that are crucial for optimal performance. First up, we have the PoE switch. 🔌 PoE, or Power over Ethernet, allows network switches to transmit both power and data through an Ethernet cable simultaneously. Without this, your LiFiMAX access point won't function. We recommend an 8 Gigabit PoE switch with 8 PoE ports supporting gigabit data rates. 🚀 Next, you'll need RJ45 cables, also known as Ethernet cables with RJ45 connectors on both ends. 🔗 These cables are the backbone of wired networks and are essential for connecting your internet router to the PoE switch and the PoE switch to the LiFiMAX access point. Make sure to have at least two RJ45 cables handy.
