Season 2 Kits for Clubs is now live. To date we have given away 6,000+ high quality football kits free of charge to clubs around the world, teams who share a passion for the sport but do not necessarily have the support or access to facilities that so many take for granted. Uniting football and fashion remains integral to our plans, building communities at all levels, spanning grassroots clubs, community projects, collaborations and pro football teams. The progress that has been made in that last 9 months has been great to see, with many new doors opening and many new projects on the horizon, but at the start remains Kits for Clubs and our commitment to support those that need it. Football really is powerful, we see this with so many iterations of jerseys as fashion items around the globe and the pull of the Premier League, but we have always retained that football is for the fans, the people that really make the game. The fact is that grassroots remains underfunded and many teams go without, Kits for Clubs is there to support and as our community grows, so will our commitment to grassroots. Interesting perspectives from Jeff Collins at Cloverlay in PitchBook this week. Collins described three main reasons for investing in sports: valuable media contracts; additional revenue-generating assets like venues, real estate and live events; and scarcity value—the fewer options there are for potential buyers or participants in a market, the more valuable those options become. “Sports sit at the intersection of two interesting vectors for investors: live events and owned intellectual property. Deloitte Football Money Leauge 2025 is now available. Cumulatively, the 20 Money League clubs in 2023/24 generated a record €11.2 billion, an increase of 6% over the 2022/23 season, with record matchday, commercial and broadcast revenues. This also created football history, as Real Madrid became the first football club to generate €1 billion across a single season. A rise in clubs’ stadium capacity, general ticket prices and premium matchday offerings caused matchday revenues to grow 11% year-on-year, making it the fastest growing revenue stream for Money League clubs once again Manchester City remained the highest revenue generating English club, with revenue of €838m, followed by Man U (€771m) and Arsenal (€717m). https://lnkd.in/dwNE3phq
