Hartman MD, DFAPA, FASAM, Psychiatrist and Associate Professor VA Tech Carilion School of Medicine We are excited to introduce Dr. Cheri Hartman and Dr. Dave Hartman, who will deliver a dual-presentation to examine, “INNOVATION THROUGH COLLABORATION: ED BRIDGES TO TREATMENT AND MORE." How to use the Emergency Room as an opportunity to facilitate access to treatment has been studied at the Carilion Clinic flagship hospital in Roanoke, VA. Lessons learned from four years of quality improvement data collection will be shared (data gathered from 2019 through 2023). Due to the impact of fentanyl and the persistently high numbers of fatal overdoses, innovations on the original model are being explored.
