Earlier this week, we volunteered at a Visions and Pathways Field Day at Duke Island Park in New Jersey. We’re thrilled to also have donated 50 summer bags filled with essentials like sunscreen, water bottles, and bug spray. A huge thank you to Visions and Pathways for all you do to help provide a better future for the youth in our community. #CountUsIn

Your support can help us turn this plan into a reality. Together, we can make a significant impact in our community. Let's show what we can achieve when we come together for a common goal.
Have you ever considered what it’s like to face the relentless Arizona sun without access to clean water?
In Phoenix, dehydration isn't just a discomfort; it's a life-threatening issue, especially for our homeless population. Temperatures often soar above 100°F, and without adequate hydration, the risk of severe health complications skyrockets. It’s a silent crisis that doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
We often take for granted the simple act of turning on a tap. For some, it’s a luxury they can’t afford. By raising awareness and taking action, we can help ensure that everyone has access to this basic necessity.
The Sullivan employees have donated to bring this support to our community. Share your thoughts, experiences, or suggestions in the comments below. Your input could inspire others to take action.

Our team recently donated 48 cases of water – totaling 1,920 bottles toward the Code Red campaign through the Phoenix Rescue Mission, collecting water to pass out to the homeless community in Phoenix. Phoenix hits record temperatures every summer and can be so dangerous for individuals getting dehydrated. Congratulations Dr. Stacie Waites on having her article titled "Teach a Man to Fish: The Use of Autonomous Aid in Eliciting Donations" published!
Article Summary: Conventional wisdom says that if you give a person a fish you can feed them for a day, but if you teach them to fish you can feed them for a lifetime. However, most nonprofits tend to describe their work in a more immediate way (giving a fish) instead of how they can help aid recipients work toward autonomy (teaching them to fish). This research explores an alternative positioning strategy focused on the use of autonomous aid appeals, which promote the use of donated funds to facilitate the eventual self-sufficiency of those in need. Working with a regional non-profit we show that this singular change to the non-profit’s messaging increased donations by over 400%. This effect is further investigated in 6 studies, all suggesting the profound effect of autonomous aid messaging over immediate aid messaging in various donation contexts.

Beyond delighted to have reached the top of #MountKilimanjaro ⛰️
The final leg of the trek was the hardest day of my life, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my two guardian angels - guides Adam and Jackson - and the encouragement of our 24 amazing trekkers.
Thank you to everyone who has pledged their support ❤️
You can still donate and help us change young lives for the better through the work of Manchester United Foundation below.

Sock Rocket was born 8 years ago out of a combination of boredom with my then-freelance-based web development business, and a desire to marry subscriptions and social enterprise to see what was possible. Turns out A LOT was possible.
In our first year of business (2016), Sock Rocket donated 280 pairs of socks to 1 organization (shoutout to Hull Services) and handed out 100 or so more in person on the streets of downtown Calgary. I ran the business entirely in 3-4 days of work each month as I focussed on my web development company and my golf game. A humble beginning and very much a hobby project.
7 years later this is my full time job + some, we employ several people, and we sling custom merch to some of the biggest companies in Canada. So far this year we’ve donated 128,000 pairs of socks to 70ish organizations, and it’s very likely we’ll hit 200,000 pairs donated this year alone by the time Christmas rolls through.
Thank you all for your love and support. Thanks for believing in Sock Rocket, but mostly thanks for believing in social enterprise. Spoiler alert - it’s not really about socks, y’all. Socks are a vehicle to tell a bigger story - It’s about the power of social enterprise. Sock Rocket is a very simple application of a social enterprise, and I’m just here to prove that if we can do it, that means YOU CAN DO IT BETTER! There is so much potential good to be done out there, and I really believe that businesses hold a ton of power to be able to enact change.
Thanks again for believing in me, humans. It means a ton. I hope we’ve made you proud so far - there’s plenty more where this came from!
500,000 down. On to the next 500,000!
🚀 We’ve done it – 500,000 pairs of socks donated! 🎉
We’re excited to share that we’ve reached an incredible milestone at Sock Rocket - we’ve donated HALF A MILLION pairs of socks to those in need! 🙌
At Sock Rocket, we're proving that you can run a small business that’s profitable AND socially responsible. Your support fuels our sock mission to reach 1 MILLION pairs donated! With every Sock Rocket purchase, you not only get original-designed, high-quality socks, but for every pair sold THREE pairs are donated. 🧦
Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us support those who need it most.
Check out our website to learn more about the amazing organizations we’ve partnered with and how every pair makes a difference!

CCO @Grace & Green | Improving access to sustainable period products | Championing period dignity for all🩸Coaching | Consulting | Mentoring | Founder @Seed to Oak
When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)?
I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to:
✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity.
To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John.
✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ).
However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here...
✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday.
(For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.)
Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent.
I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold.
Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x
Two years of Period Dignity 🎉
It's #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay and we're celebrating two years of making periods dignified and accessible for everyone.
Since launching, our Period Dignity scheme has helped over 400 businesses, schools and public institutions provide sustainable period products to those who need them most.
Together we've:
❋ Supplied 9 million free-to-access sustainable period products
❋ Delivered 9,800+ free period packs to those who need them in partnership with local councils
❋ Stocked 60+ universities and schools with Grace & Green products
❋ Donated £97,000 worth of period products to charitable organisations, including local food banks, in 2023 alone.
Thank you to our community and incredible partners and supporters for making helping us make a difference.
Check out our visits to New Cut Coffee, BIMM University, OVO, Watershed, and Wiper and True. Thank you Honeywell Bakes for our beautiful birthday biscuits.
If you can, pause a moment and open the maps app on your phone. Take note of where you are right now - your physical location. Draw an imaginery circle at a distance of 14km away, and now look at what exists between here and there in each direction. How many people in this area need help and support? How many can you help? Not everyone, but at least someone.
Now take a moment to think of where you're at in life. What's just ahead? And behind? Either side of you? How many people in your world right now that need some form of help? Again, you can't help everyone - but at least someone. What little can you contribute to those in need.
On 11 August City2Surf gives you the opportunity to support a wide variety of charities. It's a 14km walk/run, and it will raise thousands of dollars, each one intended to benefit people who need your help. I've set myself a modest target to raise $200 for the SAN Foundation's cardiac services. If you haven't contributed through another charity yet, why not add your support today? Every dollar helps...
Hello everyone,
I have an idea for consideration: implementing a rule in our office where tardiness incurs a fine, with the collected funds directed towards charitable causes such as supporting an old age home or assisting those in need. This initiative aims to foster punctuality among us while contributing positively to the community. What are your thoughts on this proposal?
"Serving For Reason Living For A Purpose"
Being compassionate, serene, civil, and noble is an art of life. Everyone of us live our life, but some really live a purposeful life. A purposeful living can help in enhancing the quality of our life. It takes lot of practice, self realization, self discipline, and self control.
Try to focus on yourself first and see if you have an ego, hatred, jealousy and negativity. Start cleaning up the mess in your life and then slowly try to purify yourself to slowly start to enhance your life for a purpose. This teaches you to live in style for others.
Caring, sharing, listening, helping, and also serving are the noble practices that we can adopt to support the community or society for a cause. It is ok to spend some of your valuable time in a day to help someone who is in a difficult situation. It is a form of charity that is much more valuable than donating money.
Charity through money or donating is ok as long the money is not misused by others or compromised. Beneficiaries aling with the purpose should be served. In the case of charity through service, it's in your hands and the beneficiary is directly being helped or benefited from the service.
