🎯As a Business & Success Mentor, I speak with numerous individuals through my online business. Recently, a lady posed the following question to me: "Do I have to work from home all the time? I think I'd get bored!" I replied: "You can work from ANYWHERE you desire, anytime of day that suits you. That's the beauty of working Online!" I went on and said: "I'm a parent and the reason I wanted to work from home was to be there for my family, my kids as they are growing up. I don't always work from home, I'm fluid and portable which is what was so appealing to me many years ago" I continued........... You can work from your local cafe ✅ ~ Go for it~ You can work from the park down the road ✅ ~ Go for it ~ After you drop the kids to school, pull into the DOME enjoy a coffee and work from there.✅ ~ Go for it ~ ✈You can go travelling for 3 months at a time - and take your work with you! ✅ ~ Go for it ~ "It doesn't actually bother me when & where you want to work from!" "It's your life, It's your business." ✅ Need to book a dentist appointment - that's perfectly fine - Go for it ✅ "I am here to guide, onboard, mentor, and share with you this exciting and flexible earning opportunity" She was listening intently: "I'm not here to watch your every move."❌ "I'm not your boss, you don't need to ask me for time off or approval to go see your kids in assembly!" ~Go For It~ ✅✅✅ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The modern approach to work should be FLEXIBLE - it represents the present and the future. Its not called a 'Laptop Lifestyle' for nothing! - Right? After a brief silence, she spoke, "Then this seems like the ideal solution for me!" - #Inspired_life_with_peggy #inspiringlivestoday #business_coach #business_mentor #laptoplifestyle #flexiblework #workfromanywhere #workfromhome #onlinebusiness #personaldevelopment #selfgrowth #flexible_business_solution #parentscreatingsuccessonline #thenewnormal #wayofearning #incomeopportunity

Empowering Executives & Business Owners with Seamless Support: Streamlining Operations and Elevating Client Experiences ll Virtual Assistant ll Program and Project Manager
Today marks three months since I took a bold step and started building my own business as a Virtual Assistant. These past few months have been filled with growth, resilience, and valuable lessons. But, to be honest, it hasn’t always been easy. There have been struggles along the way - juggling multiple clients, managing expectations, and figuring out the right systems to stay organized. Some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced include: - Navigating self-doubt and imposter syndrome. - Balancing work and life while working remotely. - Learning how to market myself and attract the right clients. Through it all, I’ve learned so much and have made significant improvements: - I’ve become more efficient at managing my time and setting clear boundaries. - I’ve developed systems to streamline my client processes, making my work more effective. - I’ve learned to prioritize self-care and take breaks when needed to avoid burnout. Despite the ups and downs, this is by far the best decision I’ve made in 2024. Starting this business has not only given me the freedom to work remotely but has also allowed me to grow professionally and personally. It’s my biggest accomplishment this year, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. For anyone else on this journey or considering it, here are a few tips that have helped me: 1. Be patient with yourself: growth takes time. 2. Invest in learning: whether it's new tools or skills, keep evolving. 3. Build a support network: having others to lean on can make all the difference. Here’s to more growth, more learning, and more wins in the months ahead! PS. Happy new month my linkedIn family

Raising The Bar In Reinforcement! | Concrete Reinforcement Specialist | 20+ Years of Industry Expertise | Elevating Safety and Efficiency, and Skills in Construction
The office is a little less grey this week, but the work is just as important. I've jetted off to Ibiza for a bit of a recharge, and some time to focus on myself. When running a business, it's easy to get so busy in the business, or working on the business, that you forget to take some time for the pin in the centre of it all - you, and your mindset. When we stop growing, so do our businesses. It's incredibly difficult to inspire a team to learn and try new things, when you're not. Making time for continuous learning, means making time for development, new ideas, creativity, inspiration, challenging beliefs, smashing limits, innovation and so much more! It's making time for growth. In all areas of life. I'm not a lifelong reader, in fact it's a pretty recent pursuit of mine. Since starting, I've found books to be arguably the most accessible, inclusive, and entertaining route to untold amounts of knowledge. I'm currently devouring Steven Bartlett's latest book, but am keen to get my next read on the shelf. Any recommendations? #continuousdevelopment #mindset #selfdevelopment #lifelonglearner #reading

On a mission to help 100,000 Corporate GenXers escape the 9-5 I Founder of the Escapee Collective I Host of the Corporate Escapee Podcast I CEO of the Collective Academy
Top 5 Ways Escapees Are Replacing Their Income Using Only Their Corporate Experience After working with hundreds of corporate escapees and hearing directly from nearly 1,000 GenXers in our growing community, I’ve seen firsthand how corporate lifers are making the leap to solo careers and thriving. If you’re wondering how you can do it too, here are the top 5 ways escapees are successfully replacing their income—and often exceeding it: 1️⃣ Consulting/Freelancing: This is the go-to for many. If you’ve built up specialized skills in finance, HR, marketing, or IT, there’s always a business out there that needs your expertise. It’s a fast path to income because businesses want targeted help without the expense of full-time staff. 2️⃣ Solo Agencies/Boutique Firms: For those with a creative or strategic edge (think marketing, CRM, or analytics), building a solo agency has become a great path. With low overhead and high flexibility, escapees are building highly profitable businesses around what they already know best. 3️⃣ Fractional Leadership: The buzziest path of them all. Fractional roles—whether it’s CFO, CMO, or COO—are a hot trend right now. They allow you to use your high-level corporate experience while working part-time, benefiting both the escapee and the small businesses that can’t afford full-time execs. 4️⃣ Coaching/Mentoring: This is an underappreciated but highly impactful option. Many escapees are using their experience into mentoring business owners or professionals, making a difference while generating solid income. If you’ve got the knowledge, there’s a market for it. 5️⃣ Teaching/Training: Another often overlooked path. Whether it’s through small business training programs, workshops, or online platforms, escapees are sharing their expertise and getting paid for it. Teaching can be incredibly rewarding—both personally and financially. What I’ve learned from our community is that the leap from corporate to solo isn’t as big or scary as it might seem. With the right mindset and support group, replacing your income is not just possible—it’s happening for hundreds of escapees every day. If you’re a GenXer considering making the jump, these proven paths can help guide you. Want to connect with others on the same journey? Join The Escapee Collective, our free Slack group where GenXers are sharing resources, ideas, and support as they build their solo careers: https://tr.ee/lCXJ-uGsiZ

Mentoring and practical support for startups and small businesses in the Worcestershire and West Midlands areas. Join our business club, it's just £10/month🚀
Where you work can have such an impact on how productive you are, don't you think? I love to work near a window and get as much natural light as I can. I also like a few plants around the place - apparently they are good for your physical and mental health. But, I find that just moving to Ian's desk for an afternoon, or working at a co-working space, or curling up on my sofa or bed can get ideas flowing like they never do when I'm in my usual place of work. I read a book recently - breaking the habit of being yourself by Dr Joe Dispenza and he suggests that when you're stuck, or you're having difficulty moving past a problem, that you should change your routine. Apparently it's all to do with getting your neurons to fire in a different pattern to what they are used to. Mixing things up can help give you a different perspective on things. It seems to work too, becuase last week I was out of my office on a work retreat. I was working with new people, I was working in new places and I was working in a completely different environment to what I'm used to and I came away with some amazing ideas, got my whole year's objectives figured out and put my first quarter business plan together - all in 3 days! So the next time you are having trouble working through a problem why not try changing where you work? It worked wonders for me, maybe it will work for you too. ***************************************************** 👋 Hi, I'm Lynne and I help people build, grow and scale businesses using my tried and tested S.E.L.L. The Hidden Challenges of Running a Service Business 🌟 Think running a service business is all about perks? Let's take a closer look: 📌 Choose your own office? Sure thing. 📌 Work anytime? You bet. 📌 Good income potential? Absolutely. 📌 Team leader? Sounds easy, right? But there's a lot going on behind the scenes: 1) Non-stop Days: My days often stretch into the night and start before dawn. 🌙⏰ 2) Vacation? What's that? I'm always a phone call away from work, even on breaks. 🌴📲 3)Work on My Mind: I'm always thinking about the next step, which is both thrilling and exhausting. 🧠💫 4)Tough Feedback: One bad review can really shake me up. It's hard not to take it personally. 😢 5)Back-to-Back Meetings: Necessary, but they sure eat up my time. 🔄📊 6)Keeping Up Appearances: I keep smiling to motivate my team, no matter what. 😄🎭 7)Social Life? On Pause: Work often comes before play. 🚫🎉 I'm grateful for the freedom and success, but running a service business is more demanding than it seems. 🙌 It's about managing tight schedules and constant demands, not just enjoying the flexibility. I’m a lazy bum I like to work as little as possible to achieve what I want. And what I currently want is to: Help a group of Personal Trainers make £20m over the next 12-18 months (𝘜𝘱𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯) I always want to try and find better ways of doing things, more efficient ways of spending my time. I don't subscribe to hustle culture or grinding my way through the day, week, month or year. The only thing I like to grind is coffee beans, so that I can drink delicious flat whites in the sunshine. (𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘣𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘰) That's why I like to cap my working day at around 6 hours of actual work. Might not sound a lot but 6 hours of dedicated, uninterrupted and focused work puts you ahead of most. And try and make sure that I'm spending those 6 hours doing things that I'm really good at, or I love doing as much of them as possible. And of course there are things that you have to do from time to time you don't enjoy I get that. And I accept that. But I do the same with clients as well. I get them to define how much they want to work (using “The Perfect Week”) And typically that results in around 6 hours a day “. Or there or thereabouts. Limiting your time doesn’t cap your income or growth. In fact, quite the opposite. It forces your business model to evolve over time. Like Hannah, who’s making £12k/month in 25 hours of delivery (and now hiring coaches to grow further without working more). Or Harry, who’s making £5k/month in 30 hours (and now launching Hybrid Coaching and a Community Membership to double his income). We create rules and systems. And we stick to those rules and install those systems so that we can be lazy bums together. And take advantage of the fact that our business should work for us…. …and not the other way around. Are you tired of the 9-5 grind? Are you dreaming of running your own business and becoming your own boss? You don't have to quit your day job just yet - you can still start a part-time business and make a living doing something you love. Here are five tips for successfully exiting your 9-5 job, while starting a part-time business. First and foremost, create a plan. Make sure you have identified a clear goal for your part-time business, as well as a plan for achieving it. This should include researching the market, setting up a budget and timeline, and creating an actionable strategy. Consider all aspects of the business such as marketing, operations, customer service and finance. Second, keep in mind that it takes time to build a successful business. Don’t expect to be able to quit your 9-5 overnight; it may take several months or even years to get your business off the ground. Have patience and trust in yourself – it will all be worth it in the end! Third, set aside time each day to work on your business. Even if it’s just an hour or two in the evening or on the weekend, dedicate some time each day to building your business. This will help keep you focused and motivated as you progress towards success. Fourth, stay organized and track your progress. This is critical for staying on top of all aspects of your business from finances to customer relations. Utilize project management tools such as Trello or Asana to keep everything organized in one place. Finally, don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed. There are plenty of resources available online such as courses, online forums and mentorships that can provide valuable insight into running a successful part-time business. Find people who have gone through similar experiences and connect with them – their advice can be invaluable! 'I've got nothing to wear' has nothing to do with clothes 👀 STYLE COACH 🎉👑Helping women in business get visible and make MONEY through HELL YES 🔥 style | Speaker | Author | Podcast Host
Things that are working really well in my business right now... VERSUS things I feel are over 👎 1/ WHAT'S WORKING: spaciousness! OVER ❌️ 24/7 grind to the point of burnout Listen, I understand (this is my 3rd year in business, people) those early stages take hard yards. There's lots of content on Linkedin that can have you thinking other people had instant success and you're doing something wrong... But the truth is - work! That said, something that shifted the rate at which results came into my business was going from DOING and into BEING. I know it sounds counter-intuitive but after the initial setting-up stages, spaciousness = more results than force. This really became a *thing* I wanted to share with you, because last week I was travelling in Europe, spending an hour a day max on business - and made £4k in new sales. I'm also writing a book (I've told Vicky Quinn Fraser draft will be finished by end of summer what am I thinking 🤪) and I can't do that if I'm burned out AF from the old ways of doing 2/ WHAT'S WORKING: Long-term commitment OVER ❌️ hacks & quick fixes People have become jaded after the 2020-life-coach bubble burst and some turned out to be chasing quick cash off the back of icky sales techniques their *coach* taught them. This means people are more mindful about WHO they invest with. They want to see you're the real deal. View your business not through the lens of 'this week', but through the lens of LEGACY. Do your investments, level of learning you're doing and your commitment to mentorship, cement this? I am in year-long mentorship containers. If you aren't invested in your business to the same level of commitment you expect from a dream client... what results do you expect 🤷♀️ 3/ WHAT'S WORKING: sharing BTS and unique point-of-view OVER ❌️ generic 'what her over there is doing' content Please stop copying my content 🤪 I know it's tempting to perceive others as more established and to replicate what they're putting out. But you won't grow a sustainable, long-term brand that way. People want YOU, they don't want me (or maybe they want me but you're pretending to be me and then they get on a call with you because you used my content and they're #ConfusedAF) WHAT'S WORKING: clients who are INVESTED OVER ❌️ *chasing* energy I don't chase. At all. I know some experts will be like 🤯 But I NEVER want a client to feel they were forced into a decision... Working with me is a business and confidence-shaking thing. So maybe I'm *leaving money on the table* but I want clients as excited as I am 🥳 WHAT'S WORKING: Dressing like it's inevitable OVER ❌️ not thinking about style at all I will die on this hill, wearing something fabulous 💅 DRESS FOR IT. It makes a difference. Join the £10k Months Style Challenge for way more than I've shared here PLUS a wardrobe butt-kicking that makes your style a money magnet 🧲 ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eXZRzkwg
