Four things to take care of while asking for a referral. 1. Share your resume 2. Share the JobId which best suits you(double check if it is active and the location is atleast the country you reside in, US-remote or other positions need Visa) 3. Give a short reason explaining why you think you are fit for this role this is not mandatory but helps(this would give idea to the HR even without opening resume) 4. Residential address as workday somehow made that mandatory to submit. This save effort and time for both the applicant and the person referring you. I knew someone who had a false certificate 😲 ..............caught during HR check 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 We all know employee referrals are a powerful tool in the hiring process. But before you hit "send" on that referral request, let's talk about the importance of 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 your referral. Here's why: 🤝 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞: When you refer someone, you're vouching for their skills and fit within your company culture. A bad hire reflects poorly on both the candidate and the referrer. 🏆 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐲: A strong referral goes beyond knowing someone's name. Do you truly believe they'd excel in the role? Do their values and work style align with the team? ✅ 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Discuss the position with the candidate and ensure they're genuinely interested and qualified. ✅ 𝐁𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐬: Watch out for inconsistencies in resumes, unrealistic salary expectations, or hesitation to provide references. Remember, a thoughtful referral is more than just a name.
