Helping Freelance Creatives have more income and time freedom. 22-YR Freelance Creative turned Professional Coach.
Freelance Creatives who get it know one thing: The difference between coasting as a 6-figure freelancer vs sinking in feast or famine isn’t simply: - Adjusting your portfolio. - Perfecting your creative skills. - Or depending on referrals and recruiters. It’s: - Refining your pricing and offers. - Mastering more business development. - And nurturing a network of leads and relationships. It’s building resilience and a foundation to rely on yourself rather than hoping someone else might do it for you. It's knowing one thing: That the biggest threat to your livelihood is depending on anyone else for it. ••• I turn Freelance Creatives into the ones who get it. And help them to become 6-figure freelancers. I only have 4 spots left, DM if you want one.

This is bang on! Throughout my time as a freelancer, i've realized that most companies have either: 1. Been burned by a terrible freelancer who either flaked or didn't hit a deadline. 2. Have no idea how to work with freelancers, like, at all and are too afraid to ask. Professional freelancers get the job done on time and on budget BECAUSE they are excellent communicators who can move a project along. Need help or have questions? Just ask.

A pivotal shift in my freelance career was realizing that 90% clients aren't malevolent. They're more likely clueless on how to work with freelancers. Instead of anger, calmly take the reins through clear, upfront communication. In other words: The amateur freelancer gets upset. The professional freelancer gets clear.

Most important things to have as a freelancer, power rankings. 1. Good connections. This is by far the most important. I'd rather have an OK idea and a friend to pitch it to than a great idea and a stranger to pitch it to. TL/DR cold pitching sucks 2. There is no No. 2. 3. Perseverance 4. Talent

The most successful Freelancers I've known always had more tenacity than talent. Talent can go far. Determination goes the distance. P.S. I help Freelance Creatives go the distance. Link at top of Kyle Kushner
