DIY versus DFY, it’s a question as old as they come, and it’s something that the utilities field had decided on, at least historically. The go-to model was DFY, fully outsourced solutions. After all, who doesn’t like something taken off their plate? Even if there are occasional hiccups, latencies which spark regulatory concern, and a 5-10x cost associated with it? Although this seems all nice and fine (to some, anyway), it’s not the status quo that we were happy with. Now let’s look at DIY utility management. It must pose a headache and tremendous workload, since why else would it be constantly outsourced at a premium price tag?? Well, that would make sense if that was the correct assumption. With a fully automated software solution, you can get real-time data, have 100% centrality for data viz, get total transparency on every location you have, ensure you’re never late for billing, and spend a fraction of the time on it. Oh, and about 90% less resources spent. The past is DFY, but we look to the future, and the future shows you having more control, realizing savings, and taking greater ownership. Just wanted to point out something important about using AI image generation for your brand. If you're not using it wisely, it can really mess up your brand's consistency. You'll end up with images that have different styles, quality, and relevance, which can make your brand look unprofessional and disjointed. It's crucial to maintain a consistent visual style, color scheme, and use of brand elements to keep everything looking cohesive and polished. Just a heads up – be careful with how you implement AI-generated images! You should Learn prompt engineering before doing something like this. What do you all think? Update. North Herefordshire is not a haven for chargers however, having been here for a week and the next journey is up to Nottingham we decided to top up to 80% (200 miles). Went back to the Instavolt at the OK Diner. Only one charger working but it did the job. Went to Morrisons in Leominster to do some shopping and decided to check out the Genie point. The good news is that it was working. The bad news is that I had to turn detective to find it tucked away, out of sight behind the shop, and although a nice new charger no contactless. There are 4 other DC chargers in Leominster making 6 different operators, and 3 of which I have never heard of. Summary: If both Instavolt chargers were off and I needed a charge I suspect I would have been a tad frustrated. Note: The the other CPO chargers (if working) might have contacless. If I spend time in Leominster I will find them and report.
