Researchers with the #LSU Center for #Energy Studies noted that for the first time since the center began tracking, #investments in #energytransition projects were expected to surpass those dedicated to liquefied natural gas by as much as $1.8 billion in 2025. That margin will expand over the following two years. #Louisiana industries are trying to find the most cost-effective ways to make low #carbon products being sought by global markets. https://lnkd.in/epm3rZjX

We’re investing $15 million over five years to test technologies that will help reduce methane emissions at home and around the world. The Natural Gas Innovation Fund Accelerator’s Emission Testing Centre program will help more Alberta companies test technologies free of charge in both laboratory and live settings, which will help attract investors and get technologies to market faster. Alberta has already reduced methane emissions from the oil and gas sector by 45% since 2014, but new innovations are still needed. This funding will help get new technologies to market so we can continue to reduce emissions and create jobs. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g4rF4vEs

This is a solemn moment but also a real aim to go up to green future for humanity. IAE is made to build a good plan mixing african growth economy and energical transition. Here we can meet great leaders of OPEC and african leaders of energetic sector, joining ideas to find a balance between african development and planet heating, wich effects are not to demonstrate now. #IAE_for_a_sustainable_future

Why #hydrogen infrastructure ambition is a long way from reality Financial Times Proposed European pipelines could reach 28,000km by 2030 — but only one 30km scheme is currently under way At the Paris headquarters of the International Energy Agency (International Energy Agency (IEA)), researchers tracking the progress of hydrogen as a clean alternative to fossil fuels have a list of more 100 pipelines for the gas, across more than a dozen countries. But the vast majority of these projects are either concepts or undergoing feasibility studies. Only one is actually under construction: a 30km pipeline in the Port of Rotterdam. https://lnkd.in/dy5apF6c

We’re excited to announce the release of our latest work in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy! This article, titled "Hydrogen Blending in Natural Gas Pipelines: A Comprehensive Review of Material Compatibility and Safety Considerations," dives into the potential of hydrogen blending as a key driver for decarbonizing energy systems. This project, a joint effort with Enbridge Gas and funded by the Office of Energy Research and Development (OERD), explores the material compatibility and safety challenges of blending hydrogen into natural gas pipelines. The study outlines the importance of materials compatibility and highlights pathways to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from residential and industrial sectors. This is another step forward in leveraging existing infrastructure to build a sustainable energy future!
