Great opportunity here for someone
Public Interest News Foundation is #hiring a new Campaigns and Communications Manager, and I could not recommend this particular role in this particular organisation enough. I should know—it’s what I’ve been doing for the past two years! PINF is at the forefront of journalism infrastructure and philanthropy in the UK, and I’m devastated to be leaving at such a pivotal time in its mission to get every community in the UK the independent, high quality news that it deserves. I’ll have more to say about this experience in due time (at the moment, I’m refusing to properly process my emotions about leaving), but, for now: this role is an opportunity for so much personal and professional growth and a portal into an incredible sector of media practitioners. You will have autonomy and support in equal measure, be encouraged to make the work your own, and get to work with a collaborative and passionate team on some really (really) cool projects. My DMs are open if you have any questions about PINF or the role. We’re hosting an info session next Wednesday at 12.30pm, link in the first comment. https://lnkd.in/eZ6JqJyT

I never planned to work in PR. I thought I’d be an English teacher...until this little thing called social media came along. Helping a family member navigate Myspace and Facebook turned into writing blogs and making connections with a couple of local businesses, which turned into full-time work. Before I knew it, I was running a social media consultancy and diving headfirst into PR. That wasn’t the plan, and it wasn't without its struggles, but I wouldn't change a thing. Every twist in the journey taught me lessons that I still use today. What unexpected turns have shaped your career? #CareerJourney #PR #ProfessionalGrowth

Could you be a Volunteer Chief Communications Officer and help deliver a bright new future for football. Then frankly we need you! Football is at a pivotal moment. In the next couple of weeks the Football Governance Bill will resurface in parliament. And Fair Game need your help to deliver the change we all want to see. It is a real do-or-die moment. Football can continue to repeat the mistakes of the past or set a brand new path that addresses the growing financial divides in the game. Those divides have seen clubs being forced to overspend to try and compete and the cost can be catastrophic. Community and social programmes are cut, when a club goes into administration local businesses fold, and if a club goes under like Bury and Macclesfield years of history and traditions are under threat. We want a different future. Help us! We are after a new Volunteer Chief Communications Officer. Spread the word.... https://lnkd.in/eenju-BD

Public Relations, Public Affairs, Strategic Communications, and Government Relations – What’s the Difference? After more than two decades in the field, I’ve seen how these areas can overlap, but each requires a unique approach. To make it easier to understand, I’m simplifying these definitions with some stories from my journey. Public Relations (PR) is about managing perceptions and telling the right story. During the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman, in the middle of a pandemic, our challenge was to promote the tournament despite limited crowds. We had to ensure fans worldwide felt the excitement digitally. PR is all about adapting, managing risks, and ensuring the brand remains strong, even under tough conditions. Public Affairs (PA) involves working with governments to influence policy and secure necessary approvals. At the ICC, we collaborated with various governments to ensure international tournaments ran smoothly, proving that cricket was more than just a game—it was a vital cultural and economic event. It’s similar to how companies like Airbnb work with local governments to navigate regulations while ensuring their business benefits local economies. Strategic Communications is all about the long-term vision. When we launched the 100% Cricket Future Leaders programme in 2021, it wasn’t just about making headlines—it was about creating a programme and crafting a narrative that would inspire women in sports leadership for years to come. It gave female leaders the boost they needed to grow in their leadership journey in cricket. Government Relations is about direct collaboration with government bodies. A great example is the partnership between Star India and the Indian government for Khelo India. We worked closely with the Union Minister of Sports, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and other key government bodies to promote grassroots sports development across the country. It wasn’t just about media; it was about securing long-term policy support to make sure the initiative had real impact. Similar to how large corporations engage with governments to shape regulations, this partnership ensured our goals aligned with national priorities. So, whether you’re managing media narratives, working with policymakers, or developing long-term strategies, each area requires a unique approach. At GOOD DAY PR & Strategic Communications FZ LLC, we specialise in crafting tailored strategies across these areas. Whether it’s navigating government regulations, managing a brand’s reputation, or building long-term narratives, we ensure your communication goals hit the mark, every time. Ready to take your communications strategy to the next level? Reach out, and let’s create something impactful together! #PublicRelations #StrategicCommunications #PublicAffairs #GovernmentRelations #GoodDayPR - Ketaki Golatkar كيتاكي جولاتكار, Founder and CEO

https://lnkd.in/ePM_BJfk Public relations in marketing Businesses today place a high value on their public image, with 63% of their value attributed to it. It is crucial for companies to invest in public relations to maintain a positive image and reputation. Public relations professionals use strategic communication to create favorable connections with the public, utilizing media and other means to control the distribution of information about an organization. The goal of public relations is to keep a brand's reputation positive and maintain relationships with various stakeholders. Unlike advertising, public relations focuses on obtaining editorial coverage in media outlets to increase brand awareness. This approach helps to establish credibility as the information is verified by third parties, making it appear more sincere, prosperous, significant, and relevant. Overall, public relations plays a vital role in shaping public perception, maintaining a positive brand image, and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders. By effectively managing communication and media relations, businesses can uphold their reputation and mitigate the impact of any negative incidents. #MKTG5519 #CreativeAdvertising
