National impact of the Together Fund: 🤝81 partners 📌3700 projects In #Dorset, we invested over £200,000 providing access to physical activity to those most impacted by COVID 19. In funding grassroots community organisations, the Together Fund also aimed to support survival and resilience during a period of significant uncertainty. Learning and evaluation were an integral part of the Together Fund approach. Are you wired for fundraising... on the inside? One of the things I pay attention to when working with founders, is their unconscious relationship with money/capital: ⏺ Do they relate to money as some necessary evil? Or, do they versus a helpful construct to do good things in the world? ⏺ Do they say things like "I don't care about the money"? Or, do they think about being good money managers to maximize return and minimize risk? ⏺ Do they constantly over-stress about the lack of money or resources? Or, do they index on being as creatively resourceful as they can to move the needle? ⏺ Does the thought of asking for money come with generally good feelings and sentiments, or, does it come with incredible guilt, shame, and/or fear? Their money stance will materially impact their success when fundraising. At its best, it can attract the right partners and opportunities. Rochdale Creates Community Fund aims to support VCFSE organisations who have not worked with arts and culture before to build relationships with local artists and start using creativity as a tool for wellbeing and strengthening communities. Whether it’s helping someone process their mental health, trauma, build their confidence or generally improve their wellbeing through creativity, we know that arts and culture can play a big role in health and wellbeing. Art and culture can also connect people to the place they live, local stories and histories, and feel proud of the communities they’re part of. Action Together and partners can offer a match making service if your group is interested in a certain artistic practice and would like to connect with a local artist – whether it’s woodwork or textiles or pottery, mural painting or performance, or so much more. Priorities for this fund are for community groups not already engaging in arts and culture to collaborate with local artists in order to: · - Build confidence and improve wellbeing of the people you support, or · - Build a stronger connection to the place they live This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
