Naxnova, a leading design and technology firm with a strong foothold in surface enhancement, has formally announced the #acquisition of Quad Industries Belgium, a renowned entity in the realm of printed #electronics, for INR 90 crores (approximately Euro 10 million). This move shows Naxnova's commitment to market #expansion and fortifies its position as a pivotal provider of pioneering #products and #services. In the coming quarters, complete ownership will be attained through a phased acquisition of the remaining 74% stake, which will be acquired from Quad Industries' current stockholders. Since its founding in 1998, Quad Industries Belgium has gained recognition for its #innovation in the design and manufacturing of user interfaces and other printed #solutions for the European Union's medical, wearables, consumer goods, and #automotive industries. By combining Naxnova and Quad Industries Belgium, this merger takes use of their complementary strengths and expands the range of next-generation solutions that the combined company can provide, especially in the automotive, consumer goods, and #healthcare industries. Quad Industries, led by Arne Casteleyn and Ruben Casteleyn, has built a strong development and production base in #Slovakia and #Belgium. Quad has increased its presence in printed electronics in recent years, which has strengthened its ability to provide creative and flexible sensor solutions for a variety of industries. Salil Musale, Managing Director of Naxnova, acknowledged the acquisition and voiced his enthusiasm for the company's prospects, saying, "We are thrilled to have Quad Industries join the Naxnova family. Itaconix Corporation PLC (AIM:ITX, OTCQB:ITXXF) CEO John Shaw joins Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of a trading update, released after the company was unable to reach satisfactory commercial terms with one of its major existing merchandising customers in North America for supply in 2024. As a result, it has removed all future revenue expectations from the customer and has guided for full-year 2024 revenue in the range of $6 million to $6.5 million, against an unaudited US$7.9 million in 2023 - itself a record and a 40% rise from 2022.  Shaw highlighted this move as a significant short-term revenue loss but framed it as a positive step towards reducing dependency and fostering a healthier business relationship. Our engagement with innovation districts in over 16 countries gives me informed intel on the level of effort — the pure human capital — being used to propel districts forward. It is the magic of districts — the unique “local equity” that leaders pay in to advance this model. But it is also one of the model’s core vulnerabilities. Working hard does not equate to strategic outcomes. This argues for strategic partnerships as part of the district framework — partnerships that bring about systemic changes as much as they reduce inefficiencies across actors. I recently spoke with Mercedes Lucchini, the International Relations Manager at Arexpo, the leading public partner behind MIND Milano Innovation District. She shed light on their intentional approach to leveraging a public-private partnership to create a thriving ecosystem, secure anchor institutions, and set a clear vision for their district’s future. Arexpo, in partnership with Lendlease, is currently the largest public-private partnership to advance an innovation district. In this video, Mercedes emphasizes the importance of a shared “public-private direction” that ensures a stable but flexible vision; one that can swiftly respond to the ever-changing macroeconomic environment and the continuous evolution of the district. Given the heft of their partnership and the ambition of the leaders there, I believe they have the vision, the gumption, and the competitive spirit to create a new, innovative, model of place-based governance. It can extract real time (2024.02.20), Chinese-English multilingual information about US patent holders/holding, based on the census geographical locations in Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Middle East (Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE) and Europe (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, UK). With this IP of ours, we are doing what ChatGPT, an icon of AI, can NOT do. It can also make your information service UNIQUE in the world. Experiment results showed that our IP can distill multilingual information to answer the following questions, but ChatGPT can NOT; for example, a pure English question like: "Who, in England of UK, has new US patents granted on February 20th, 2024?" or a Chinese-English multilingual question like: "Who, in the '湖北' province of mainland China, has new US patents granted on February 20th, 2024?" This year’s Zinnov Confluence in Bengaluru was a triumph for Micron Technology, which won the Women’s Innovator Award through our efforts to enhance diversity and inclusivity across the organization and semiconductor industry. Zinnov didn’t just recognize the efforts of large organizations, but remarkable individuals, as well. Kaveri Jain, a talented engineer and leader at Micron India, received the Next Generation Women Leader Award. A prestigious award that receives nominations from over 200 companies, the nominee is a source of inspiration, delivering excellence in individual, organizational, and sector development. Kaveri was chosen for her groundbreaking accomplishments, which include 30+ patents and leading India’s Micron Women’s Leadership Network resource group. On Day 2 I joined as a panel speaker discussing Micron’s people strategy and the importance of building a robust and diverse talent pipeline to meet talent demand and business growth. 30 years ago, there were 5 women engineers out of 100 new hires in the room. Through intentional planning and action, we’ve raised the number of women engineers in the room to more than 40 diverse and talented individuals. This was achieved through intentional strategies, culture, and action, and will keep growing as we continue to develop a more equitable future.
