Last month, Integer’s Clarence, New York, site hosted the University at Buffalo’s Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honor society. Students were invited onsite to learn more about #Integer and career opportunities in the medical device sector. Thanks to the #Integer team, comprised of associates representing our HR and cardiac rhythm management and neuromodulation business, for leading a tour of the Clarence facility and discussions with the students, many of whom will enter the #medtech industry upon graduation. #LifeatInteger #GreatPlacetoWork #Hiring #STEMCareers

Your customers' perspective is most important, so while I was at HRS Boston I chatted with Mitch Stelzer, Physician Trainee at Boston Medical Center (BMC), to get his thoughts on the event and what he’s most excited about when it comes to the future of electrophysiology. Of course, seeing fellow EPeeps and learning more about PFA (pulsed field ablation) were top on his list! Reflection: getting a physician (or your customer) on camera to share their thoughts and insights can be a daunting task for them - especially if it’s their first time. The key is to keep it simple, have fun, and don’t hesitate. I was introduced to Mitch through an industry friend of mine (Megan LaBreck, PharmD, BCPS, CACP) as they were walking the floor. The vibes were pulsing off (my new fav way to describe this years HRS Boston event) and we were all having fun. His guard was down and the moment was now. Without hesitation, I casually asked Mitch to quickly share his thoughts with me on camera. With encouragement from his amazing friends and team, and a little MedTech Missile magic, we had Mitch mic’ed up before he knew it…and he crushed it. Along with getting a fantastic customer perspective, Mitch is about to have a full inbox on LinkedIn with invitations to become a Key Opinion Leader (KOL)! #hrsboston2024 #epeeps #pulsedfieldablation #pfa #physician #electrophysiology #customerexperience #customersuccess #customertestimonial #demandgeneration #medicaldevice #medicaldevices

Help shape the future of biomedical engineering by sharing real-world problems with Texas A&M's BMEN 353 course. Your insights can drive innovation and improve healthcare solutions. Thanks for supporting my friend and contributing to the future of healthcare! ☺️
To all my LinkedIn friends out there, do you know a problem or concept that a biomedical engineer might be able to solve? Would you like to directly influence the engineers of tomorrow? Fill out the survey below!!! Healthcare problems are not limited to nurses and surgeons (one of our last projects was from a mom about taking care of her sick kids). Biomedical engineering students at Texas A&M take an innovation design course (BMEN 353) in their junior year (which I teach) leading up to a yearlong capstone design course. I have found two things drastically enrich this course: Having problems provided by real end users and experts Having the students present their prototypes to real end users and experts for feedback Would you like to participate in the upcoming Fall 2024 innovation design cohort? If so please fill out the short survey below: https://lnkd.in/e2PyvZYp Thank you so much for your consideration and please contact me with any questions!!

Founder & CEO The Field Engineer Ltd. Global Community TheFieldEngineer.com . Global Job Board TheFieldEngineer.jobs . Multivendor Marketplace TheFieldEngineer.store vendors register now. Director Intercultural Success
Continuing The Field Engineer's celebration of Biomeds and HTMs for HTM Week, The Field Engineer meets another 10 engineers from across the USA and asks them, "Why has a career in HTM been right for you?". One short quote from Michael McCombs, gives an insight. "Why is this the right field for me? For anybody? I'll tell you what I found that day: purpose. Every day I go to work, somebody benefits. They may never see me. In fact, if I'm doing my job right, they won't. I may never meet them. Somewhere, though, a patient is being diagnosed, treated, cared for. Providers care about their patients. Medical field service engineers make sure they have the tools they need to do it". This HTM Week Wednesday we meet, Top row. l to r, Zack Pelletier, Paulina Perez, Joe Deater, Millicent Alooh, Ray Memita. Bottom row. l to r, Michael Lipka, Edward Kwaw Newton, Russell Neyhart, Ed Klavins, Michael McCombs. We'll meet more people tomorrow. Have a read of today's blog, and feel free to join our community to network with other HTMs and Biomeds. The Field Engineer community has active networking groups for "Biomeds – Biomedical Engineers and Technicians", and "Medical, pharmaceuticals, life science, bioscience". Many of our members have also featured in previous blogs. To read today's blog visit our community website at, TheFieldEngineer dot com/blog/ There are many more posts about Biomeds from the USA and from across the world. #htm #htmweek #biomedicalengineering #iamhtm #clinicalengineering #engineering #careers #healthcare #jobs

𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐌𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞! Wherever you are in your pre-med journey … we could all use a bit of help. If you’re a student pursuing medical school but are overwhelmed about the whole process, I have a great 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕. As a pre-med student myself, I know how much there is to keep track of when it comes to med school applications. From test scores to interviews, and everything in between it is ALOT. I’m happy to be partnering with Leland to share a 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 with you all. This should be a great doc to lean on as you think about and prepare your application for the upcoming cycle. Leland was founded by Stanford MBA, John Koelliker, with the desire to help information be easier to access. As a cardinal myself, I know that regardless of what school you come from, or how much training you already have, the more support and community you have the better. John and his team have created a down-to-earth, grassroots community that might be of help during your application process. And c’mon, who is seriously going to turn down having a better support system? If you’d like access to the full checklist, just comment your email below 👇 *** Email Submissions closed as of 02/26/24 Pictured: Leland Founder John Koelliker, and his wife Karli. #premed #stanfordgsb #stanfordmedicine #medicalschool #stanforduniversity #stanford #medtech #tech #collegeadmissions #collegeadmission #medicaleducation

“At graduation, I always remind the recent grads to never let this degree be an end, but rather a beginning. Choose to continue to learn, shape your professional goals, and engage in your future.” In ASCLS Today, Candice Grayson writes about the familiar interview question, "Where do you see yourself in five years?” and how her response evolved throughout her career in #MedicalLaboratory science. #IamASCLS #LaboratoryMedicine https://lnkd.in/gqYTQEFK
