“#Intersectionality impacts corporate dynamics by revealing how overlapping identities, such as gender and race, #influence experiences of discrimination or privilege. This analysis can uncover deeper insights into corporate #culture and #leadership, guiding more effective #diversity, #equity, and #inclusion strategies.” Quote from LinkedIn’s ai tool on this post below Buck Gee & Denise Peck thanks for sharing this #data on Fortune 1000 #business(es). In the just released Ascend paper "What About the Women", Denise Peck and I reviewed EEO-1 reports from Fortune 1000 companies with larger populations of API women in their white collar workforce. For brevity, we did not include this additional analysis of the most senior level of executives in those 101 companies, as self-identified by each company on its web site as "Senior Leadership", "Executive Team", etc. See chart below, but it is evident that an intersectional analysis of the glass ceiling by gender and race can lead to an unexpected and more revealing view of the corporate dynamics for women. #asianamerican #glassceiling

If you're like me, you're always looking for words of wisdom from women in the digital media space. So for a new EX.CO blog post, I found a group of inspiring women and asked them all one question: what advice would you give to other women in the media industry? Perhaps not surprisingly, many of the responses I received focused on fear. 👇 ✔️ Fear of speaking up. ✔️ Fear of asking questions. ✔️ Fear of being heard. ✔️ Fear of not being valued enough. ✔️ Fear of advocating for oneself. ✔️ Fear of asking for what we want. ✔️ Fear of being oneself. ✔️ Fear of taking risks. ✔️ Fear of change. ✔️ Fear of being assertive. ✔️ Fear of taking up space in a room. ✔️ Fear of having a different opinion. 💯 Do any of those fears resonate with you? Thought so. 💪 Let's empower each other and celebrate our achievements. The struggle is real, but together, we can learn from one another, grow, and overcome any obstacle. 🙌 Thank you to everybody that participated in this special blog post. Give it a read and let me know what you think.
