Video is a great medium for charities wishing to highlight their impact, and this is a great example! I was sent this by Kieran Connolly and wanted to share it to show what can be achieved with visual storytelling using video. A glossy report full of professionally captured images, a well developed written narrative, case studies, and testimonials would do a fantastic job of showcasing the work and successes of Sports Fun 4 All (and I'd recommend investing in that, if it's not already being done) but seeing and hearing it in video form like this makes for a more emotional and human connection. Not only that, research and anecdotal evidence suggests that people increasingly prefer to consume content in the form of video. Anyway, here it is, take a look and see for yourselves https://lnkd.in/e-FJpqtb And well done to Keiran and team, this kind of community sports initiative is really important - I know from a previous connection to AFC Fylde Foundation in Lancashire that it's not just about getting young people into physical activity and allowing them to develop sporting skills, it helps in all sorts of other ways too, from fostering a sense of community, teaching social skills, healthy eating, and keeping them out of trouble, to giving parents and carers some respite and enabling young people to acquire skills and behaviours that will boost employability in later life.

Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation I Evaluation I Quality and Improvement I Creating an effective future direction
This weekend just past, a long weekend for Victorians, I had the pleasure of participating in an annual tennis tournament in Euroa. A tournament predominantly played on grass courts, including the transformed courts on a cricket oval next to the beautiful permanent grass courts at the club. This transformation enables to club to host a larger tournament and give more people the fabulous experience of playing on grass (which really is a devine experience for tennis players and much nicer on your body when you're playing multiple matches over 3 days!). 700 players, over 1300 games played + the spectators and young kids who sit on the side lines to cheer on the games, eat, drink and create the atmosphere. In an incredible yearly feat, the volunteers at the Euroa Tennis Club host a sensational weekend of tennis which is inclusive of all levels of tennis and is a great experience for all ages. This year the temperature was intense but the volunteers still managed to deliver an awesome event. It is true testament to what the right culture and setting up the right processes and systems can do to get great outcomes. Sadly since the pandemic volunteering levels have noticeably decreased in Australia. If you are an organisation that has a volunteer arm or is struggling to get the volunteer culture right, I can assist you. As consultants that work across private, non profit and government organisations, Quality Service Improvement is experienced in reviewing volunteer activity and setting you up for success. Having the right set up and attitude to volunteer activity in your org is vital to have successful outcomes and can lengthen the tenure of volunteers. Send us an enquiry via our webpage, shoot me a message through linkedin or call me - we can discuss what we can do for you. #volunteersmaketheworldgoround #volunteers #improvement #culture

Co-founder of North Wales Dragons recreational football teams, hosting football events to help raise funds and awareness for the benefit of charitable organisations in the UK and the rest of the world.
We have had to pull the plug on a major event in the Dragons calendar .. Reluctantly, we have postponed our men's invitational football tournament that was to be held this coming Sunday. Things were not slotting into place as they should, and as a result, we had the uneasy feeling that a domino of disaster effect will happen. We have been doing events long enough to know that when things don't feel right, they are not right. Postponements are something we don't take lightly, we have had very few in the fifteen years we have been doing this, and while there has been so much effort gone into arranging the event by so many people, and it's hugely disappointing not just for ourselves but for other teams involved, we know it's the right call to make. Playing for a purpose to help make a difference is key to our existence, so we have re-arranged for Sunday 13th October 2024, where everything WILL have slotted into place, and it will be one of the best tournaments we have ever held, where teams will come together and raise money and awareness for good causes. It was a tough call to pull it but, in my mind I know it was the right call ... and, it is more than ok to reset. What do you do when things don't feel right, do you continue and hope for the best, postpone, delay, cancel? Please let me know in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts. #football ⚽ #beadragon 🐲 #socialimpact 👊 #playforpurpose 💜

Hello everyone. I've got some updates on our football club project. There's a lot going on these days, but I'll try to be brief. Considering the debts Aqtobe City FC has and the bureaucracy involved in paying the debts, I suggested that we start a new club or use another local existing uncertified club (AFC Uran, FC Aqtobe 1869). It will be cheaper and quicker. The form of organisation I propose is a limited company, so that anyone who supports the club will have a chance to benefit from the investment and effort made. Donations are welcome too, but in my opinion we as a club need to give something back to the investors (or offer some rewards like ads, fanshop gifts etc). All financial activities of the club will be transparent. As I have received many messages from interested sponsors, players, coaches and agents, I believe that we will be able to raise the necessary funds to apply for participation in the Kazakhstani League Two and the Kazakh Cup this season. 45,000 dollars is enough to start the club. The minimum annual budget is estimated to be around 125k dollars. I'm so confident of success that I mortgaged my own flat to invest that money in the club (but is is 17k dollars only). I also have created a page to raise funds for the club at https://lnkd.in/d3KMU3zf. As I said, any donations are to be rewarded accordingly. For other ways of cooperation and any questions please contact me directly. For those who want their players to play for our club: Currently we are not allowed to have non-Kazakhstani players playing in Kazakhstan's League Two, but if we are promoted to League One we will be allowed to sign up to 5-6 non-Kazakhstani players. It is highly likely to promote because League Two is predominantly a league of U18 football academies teams, so for the team of older and more experienced players it is realistic to become a runner-up if not a champion of the league. That is why I am suggesting to concentrate on successful Kazakh Cup campaign like FC Saarbrücken did this season in German Cup. I believe we can make it to quarter final of Kazak Cup too. We are allowed to use non-Kazakh players for friendlies and pre-season tournaments, so you may be interested in marketing your players this way, or playing yourself if you are a player looking for some international experience/playing history records. There are no nationality restrictions for coaching staff, medical staff, administrators etc. The head coach must have at least a UEFA A licence. The good news is that we will have a certified municipal stadium to play our home matches, as agreed with the local state authorities. Great news! Feel free to ask questions if any.
