Nvidia ACE technology, which allows game characters to talk to the user through artificial intelligence, is going to be used for the first time on Mecha Break and will be released on PC, Xbox Series X and S and PS5 this year. This technology, using different models that run on the user's graphic card as well as the company's servers, gives the characters the ability to speak in natural language, and gamers can ask different questions about the game and its items by voice from the characters. Ask for a game. In addition to the voice, these characters can see the gamer's webcam and the surrounding environment through the GPT-4o model and respond to the user based on that.

“NVIDIA initially had no name and the co-founders named all their files NV, as in "next version". The need to incorporate the company prompted the co-founders to review all words with those two letters. At one point, Malachowsky and Priem (two co-founders) wanted to call the company NVision, but that name was already taken by a manufacturer of toilet paper. Huang (the CEO) suggested the name Nvidia, from "invidia", the Latin word for "envy". It's funny, but also thought-provoking, to read these words on the Wikipedia page of the company leading the AI Revolution, which now has a market capitalization close to $3 trillion. The company, always close to the gaming world, recently introduced “Project G-Assist”: an AI-based in-game virtual assistant that could revolutionize how we use video games, and software. It's a text and voice chatbot capable of responding to what's happening in the game and even setting up the game system in real-time. Imagine, for example, an AI coach that analyzes our in-game activities and gives immediate feedback on how to improve. I can't wait to try it out, to get better at FIFA and make my opponents even more "env-ious" of my gamer ability! 😂 #NVIDIA #Gaming

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐈. And you'll LOVE it. No more rage quitters. No more toxic chat. No more AFK mid-game. NVIDIA just dropped something insane: AI teammates that play (and talk) like humans. But better. Way better. They chat in real slang. They follow your commands. They never get mad. Think about it: Need backup? Just ask. Low on ammo? They share. Want a car? They'll find one. The best part? They never: - Rage quit - Steal your loot - Throw matches - Scream in mic - Abandon you PUBG is getting them first. More games coming soon. Remember toxic teammates? Yeah, those days are over. This isn't just new tech. It's freedom from bad gaming experiences. #Gaming #AI #PUBG #Nvidia #Technology #VMR 𝐏.𝐒. 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬? 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 "𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌" 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰.

LLMs to power NPCs in games by next year. This was a topic talked about when LLMs emerged, could they be used to power NPC experiences in video games, leading to a more immersive and realistic experience. The potential is interesting, creating the ability to hold expanded, no scripted conversations within the game could really expand how interesting NPC interactions could be... Up until now one of the limiting factors was the speed of response from LLMs but that's been improving a lot the last few releases, with Claude 3.5, Llama 3.1 and GPT 4o being much faster with responses. It seems this is now at a point where it's possible, Nvidia will be releasing an AI NPC system that will start to appear in games in 2025. How do you feel about this? Is asking an NPC what is their favourite colour going to change your gaming experience? Hope they have some renewable energy sources coming on line at these game studios. #ai #gaming #immersive https://lnkd.in/gQDZnWBh

The way we interact with games, devices, and even our own minds is evolving. It all starts with understanding the cutting-edge science behind the game. HB D.'s latest article for IEEE Computer, "Plug (In) and Play: The State of BCI Gaming in 2025," pulls back the curtain on the groundbreaking neurotechnology that powers Emotiv Play, the first mobile gaming platform driven by mental commands. She explores: -- How EEG signals are captured and decoded to transform your thoughts into game inputs. -- The evolution of EEG from bulky and expensive to small and affordable. -- The integration of advanced machine learning models to adapt to individual brain patterns. Emotiv Play is just the beginning. The same technology can revolutionize how we approach productivity, health, and creativity. Check out the full article below!
