It’s our pleasure to introduce James Jaussi, Senior Principal Engineer, Director of the PHY Research Lab in Intel Labs, and a mentor for the Intel Ignite US accelerator program. James currently leads research in I/O design and systems at Intel Corporation, with a keen focus on optical I/O circuits, photonic devices and link system modeling. James has played a pivotal role in mentoring two startups: in cohort 1 he mentored Irradiant Technologies, a startup making strides in advancing 3D nanofabrication, and in cohort 3 he mentored Mesodyne, who specializes in creating highly efficient energy solutions. His seasoned experience has paved the way for him to provide the support and input to those he mentored. For the startups he mentored, their focus is to look for ways to lower production costs, to align to future markets and to identify additional funding opportunities. They are excited and want to move quickly with their ideas and make a big impact on the industry. Which is why his #MentorTip is to “think big, clearly identify your potential market and customers, and focus on technology fundamentals.” Since joining Intel in 2001, he has received several awards, including the MIPI Distinguished Service Award (2015), an Intel Achievement Award (2016), and JSSC Best Paper Award (2021). I don't get it.. Just 2 days ago, you are posting about mentorship in the Intel Ignite program, and provide a link to even learn more and today, PatG tells us this is a dead program. What is going on?
