Bland job descriptions = bland candidates. Take these steps to spice things up: 1. Describe the outcome, not the role. People want to be inspired, not recruited. 2. Write for one person, as if they're already working with you. It's more inviting than writing for the masses. 3. Use a conversational style that's easy to read. Avoid jargon. 4. Add tiny details that make the role feel unique. Like how the office has a deck overlooking a park. 5. Use this line: "If you want to know more, I want to hear from you." 6. Share a bit about yourself or the team. It's more personal than a list of bullet points. 7. Have a kick-ass closing line. Tell them you look forward to changing the industry together.
