Xfinity Please hire locally!! I am a qualified candidate! I had to get the representative to go through a proper process before absolutely determining if a field technician should come out. It took the second call to have a really good representative to check all diagnostics before determining that yes, a field tech is needed. I have a lot of tech support and customer service with billing, using #dashboards, ticketing systems and #diagnostic troubleshooting tools! I had a discouraging experience with Xfinity yesterday. It was actually extremely frustrating. Internet issues. My first experience since moving into my place was great. Yesterday was sub-par. The call centre sounded outsourced! #hirelocally ! I felt like everyone I spoke with didn’t really listen or pay attention to the issues. Even the chat were a negative experience. There’s no agents named Angie, Andrew, Matt, Rob… No relativity or common ground. Now it’s outsourcing which is great for others but locally, we could use the help with our economy! 😎I am a L1 - L2 IT Field Engineer for a client of the company I work for, and I heard something that made feel like the message hasn't spread across properly, or maybe the person whom this comment came from is just reluctant to change his perception about the IT support currently offered...here it goes: 👇 🛎️I received a ticket, checked the issue, decided to verify it personally onsite, and organized everything to fix the issue the same day. When I got to the caller, I fixed the issue, took just over 5 minutes to fix it, however, I couldn't resist and asked "how long have you been dealing with this issue for" and the end user answered "6 months, there abouts"...I looked him in the eye and asked him: why did you raise the ticket just until today? Why not before?...and here the words that pulled my strings: naaah, I just gave up on IT. 😯 Please, IT boys and girls: if you hate working in any type of IT environments where you have to use your face or voice to deal with frustrated and almost out of control end users, find another job, something miles away from IT, you are not made for customer service! Stop screwing up on IT companies, IT people, and IT "roles". It is stupidly hard to make end users and companies to change their perspective towards IT Support Technicians!
