Are you trying to staff a defense contract but not got enough cleared talent? We have successfully helped a number of end clients and intermediaries find tech engineers across in the US & Europe for several years now. In 2024, this is really starting to pick up! The key engineers you should consider for your project if you don’t have them are: ✔ Embedded software engineers ✔ System engineers ✔ Cloud/DevOps engineers ✔ Cyber/Security engineers ✔ AI/ML engineers Will you need all of these as consultants? Likely not, as you will have some skills in house, and can move your FT engineers around depending on the projects you have available. However, all our customers would normally hire at least 2 out of these 4 to ensure their project(s) are successful as the last thing you want is to have to do hire in a frenzy or realize its too late. The most important thing is that you have someone on your team that has worked on a similar project(s) before. If you don’t, you'll lose out on the 'hit-the-ground-running' mentality of a contractor and it might take some time before they can truly add value. If you would like to discuss any of the above further, please don’t hesitate to reach out! loui.cowles@vividresourcing.com #clearedjobs #clearedengineers #softwareengineers

Do you have a large IT project? Do you need to hire multiple, qualified IT resources in short order? Talint Solutions can help. Read this testimonial to see what we did that blew this client away! "As a managed services provider, we are often required to provide services for large projects that require an increase in resources. Some of the requests happen on short notice, and we had a recent project that needed a large number of technical resources with a specific skillset on short notice. Working with Talint Solutions helped us meet the timelines in that tight schedule and we were able to complete the project on schedule. Having the right people provided to us in that short timeframe was crucial to the success of the project and Talint Solutions was a key reason for that success." #hiringit #itresources #hiringtechtalent #hiringtech #itsolutions

Part 2 of Story (https://lnkd.in/g_-TWMcT). ~~~~~~~~~~ In my career, I have only met a handful of people who are truly determined, resilient and detail-oriented. They are ready to give anything, lend a hand when needed and always find a way. They don't accept the #statusquo, they never give up and they spend endless hours in a day. When I studied #MartialArts (#TangSooDo, sibling of #TaeKwonDo) we had 7 tenets. 2 immediately come to mind. #IndomitableSpirit and #Perseverance. The first means you won't let anything beat you (never give up). The second means you will find a way no matter what (resilience). This is what I think of when I think of Luke Shannon. Because of this, I #trust Luke implicitly, without any reservations. He is a natural born leader. He wants to work with smart people, and they want to work with him. Luke Shannon makes you feel like anything is possible, because it is! He lifts others up. Luke Shannon is more than a great professional. He is a great human being! This is what Luke Shannon brings wherever he goes. The work I have been doing with Luke Shannon at Intact ranks up there with other things I have done in my career, and I am fortunate enough to have done some pretty awesome things. Luke Shannon and team (including myself) have been working on a product called, #Harbour-IDP. This product will streamline and simplify workflows and processes inside and across Intact like nothing before it, or after it. It was an honor to be part of this effort, working along side some smart people. Luke Shannon's vision will make this possible, and a result, the cost savings for Intact will be immeasurable. Intact, please treat Luke Shannon well! He is one of kind and he will always have your back. He is a man of his word and he won't quit until the job is done. Soon, I will be embarking on a new journey. I will miss everyone on this team, but I will never forget the kindness that I experienced and the memories I shared with everyone. In the end, it is all that matters. Hats off to my team: * Paul Cowan * Maxime Rodier, ing. Best wishes to my friend, Luke Shannon. Always! I will always have your back my brother. This rounds out this story and I will be sharing another one soon.
Short Story - Part 1 of 2: For the past 4+ months I have been working with an exceptional, small team of highly talented engineers (initially only 3 of us; @Paul) led by Luke Shannon at Intact. Luke Shannon had my back in a BIG way after Broadcom's acquisition of VMware and mass layoffs, which unfortunately, affected me. Luke and I go way back to our #VMware and Pivotal Software, Inc. days, presenting at many conferences on new technology and the groundbreaking work we did together with, and for, many customers. We were involved on many #GemFire, #PivotalCloudFoundry and #SpringFramework deals, involving 10s of millions of dollars in annual revenue. Between 2013 and 2023, I worked with over 30 BIG #GemFire customers (some of whom Luke Shannon introduced me to): T-Mobile, Voya Financial, CIBC, BMO, Citi, Southwest Airlines, Statefarm Insurance, to name but a few. On countless occasions, I interfaced with many customers and users directly, face-to-face, in Zoom calls, even though I was in R&D. I helped many #Spring & #GemFire users on StackOverflow, in GitHub Issue tickets and PRs, and occasionally on social media platforms like Twitter (X). Users always seem to have a way of finding you; you can't hide. #LOL It was one hell of a ride and a great learning experience, and I will be forever grateful to have had Luke Shannon by my side, as a friend, colleague, and now, I am proud to say, my mentor and technology leader. Saw this post for a Platform Engineering role today - LMI has solid Glassdoor reviews, was ranked a top place to work 2022 and is veteran friendly. Check it out. It got me thinking - 10-15 years ago if a job posting highlighted bash or shell scripting, app debugging, networking basics (tcp/dns), and ESX/vSphere experience - wouldn't we have called that a systems engineer? Why do I bring this up? Because if you've been stuck in traditionally titled job roles (sys admin/engineer) you might be fully qualified for new, "cloudy" job titles. Give yourself a shot - you'll be glad that you did. Pay is often better, and focusing on organizational enablement is truly rewarding.
