In this case study, we explore the collaborative efforts of Aloia, Roland, Lubell & Morgan, and the Zach Martin Foundation in advocating for and implementing heat safety training in schools. Exertional heat stroke (EHS) poses a significant risk to students participating in sports and physical activities, and our joint mission is to raise awareness and ensure schools take proactive measures to protect their students from this life-threatening event. Aloia, Roland, Lubell & Morgan, and the Zach Martin Foundation collaborated on a comprehensive advocacy and awareness campaign. Through press releases, social media campaigns, and community engagement events, we aim to educate parents, educators, coaches, and policymakers about the risks of EHS and the importance of implementing heat safety training. Through continuous collaboration, we strive to ensure that no more lives are lost to exertional heat stroke in our educational institutions. In episode 12, we learn about Aloia Roland’s dedication to helping people in times of crisis and more specifically their dedication to helping people who have lost a child. They have traveled the world to find the leading experts to educate themselves and be prepared to represent these families.
