Eastful Group Telephone Cable: Category 3 (Cat3) cables are the type of twisted pair cables primarily used for voice communication and low-speed data transmission. They were widely adopted in residential and small business settings for telephone systems and networking before the advent of higher-speed cabling standards. Cat3 cables come in two main types: Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) and Shielded Twisted Pair (STP). The shielded variant is used in environments with significant electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference (RFI). UTP Cat3: Voice Communication: Used in older telephone systems for voice communication. Data Transmission: Suitable for low-speed data applications, such as 10Base-T Ethernet networks. Residential and Small Business: Commonly used in residential phone lines and small business PBX systems. STP Cat3: High-Interference Environments: Shielded versions are used in areas with significant electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference (RFI). Industrial Settings: Suitable for installations where electrical noise is prevalent. Voice and Data: Useful in older telephone systems and low-speed data applications requiring extra protection against interference. #telephonecable #utpcable #stpcable

The February 29 Underground Communications Infrastructure workshop will focus on the installation and commission lifecycle, with a particular need for WiFi expertise. Recent workshops focused on content development related to system components and fibre channel backbone, laying out component requirements for the development of a WiFi or LTE system, as well as considerations regarding mandatory services. Specific content generated includes: • The addition of WiFi and GNSS as inclusions to Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), part of Wireless Access Points. • Wireless LAN Controller and Wireless Access Points added as mandatory components to Converged Voice/Data when designing a field wireless WiFi model. • Understanding that LTE systems may still have WiFi in limited deployment, such as at substations, lunch rooms, offices, etc. February 29 | 7-9 AM GMT | 8-10 AM CET | 9-11 AM SAST | 10 AM -12 PM AST | 3-5 PM AWST | 5-7 PM AEST | https://lnkd.in/dnVhAYgV #GMGgroup #undergroundmining

Fiber to the office “FTTO” vs Copper cabling - FTTO uses micro switch can be mounted near network endpoints like "wall sockets" - FTTO uses fiber cables instead of copper - FTTO benefits for sustainability ; No need for floor telecom rooms No grounding or earthing problems No problems with electromagnetic FTTO is the greenest network solution FTTO saves up to 70% in energy costs and 60% less installation Note : Micro FTTO switch consumes low power 0.5 – 1 W per port for data transmission – as against Traditional rack mounted switches consumes 3-4 W per port. hashtag #telecom #rcdd

Data centers need fast network deployment – and with OPT-X™ SJX Fiber Trunk Cabling, installing a high performance, flexible #networkinfrastructure has never been easier. 🎉 SJX Fiber Trunk Cables are constructed with sub-jacketed #fiber groups that qualify as a rated cable for individual routing paths, giving you more options with breakouts in racks, cabinets, and cable management routing. The trunk’s tight bend radius and no preferential bend direction makes for easier installations, and with two performance levels, the cabling supports greater distances and multiple connection points – all the while staying within IEEE low-loss limits. ⚡ SJX Fiber Trunk Cables are a part of the OPT-X family of systems.
