To deduce the value of x step by step: Given: - Two parallel lines are intersected by a zigzag line. - Various angles are given, and we need to find the angle x Step 1: Identify Angle Relationships We start by identifying the relationships between the given angles: - The top angle of 40 is given. - The angle adjacent to it is 40, forming a supplementary angle with 80 (since the sum of angles in a straight line is 180 Step 2: Identify Corresponding Angles The given angles of 40 at the top and middle part of the figure are vertically opposite angles because of the parallel lines and the zigzag line. Therefore, these angles are equal. Step 3: Use the Triangle Sum Property - The triangle formed in the middle part has angles40 and 40, with the remaining angle as 180 - 40 - 40 = 100 - However, we're more interested in finding the angle next to x at the bottom. - At the bottom, the small angle 20 is given, which is supplementary to the internal angle next to x Step 4: Deduce the Value of x Since x is the exterior angle to the sum of the interior opposite angles 40 and 20: x = 40 + 20 = 60 deg Thus, the value of x is 60 deg

There is a mistake. This angle is not 80 degrees. It is an obtuse angle, which is more than 90 degrees.

This 80deg angle looks greater then 90deg, and it makes the misunderstanding between the graph analysis and math, the math result is 60deg, but the e drawing do not represent the angles in the right way

Insitu between parallel lines: Median angle North = Median angle South [40+80 = X+20] or X = [120-20] = 100 degree.

You won't believe the answer, if I tell you... . . . . Here we go: Analysis using the diagonal line. Obtuse angle at lower diagonal line:  180°-x+20° = 200° -x Obtuse angle at upper diagonal line:  180° - 80° + 40° = 140° Both Obtuse angles are equal for a diagonal dissecting 2 parallel lines: 200° - x = 140° x = 200° - 140° = 60°. x = 60°

40+80+20+x=180 so easy x=60
