TotalEnergies Advances Venus Oil Discovery! TotalEnergiese are gearing up for critical production tests on the Venus oil discovery. CEO, Patrick Pouyanne, emphasised the importance of these tests in assessing the full potential of Venus and determining the optimal development strategy. The testing phase key developments going forward are: ✅ Production Test Underway: The semi-submersible rig Deepsea Mira is conducting the Venus-1A test, a pivotal step in understanding the reservoir's capabilities. ✅ Rig Bidding Process: TotalEnergies has initiated a multi-billion-dollar bidding process to secure the right rig for development drilling at Venus. ✅ Upcoming Results: Stay tuned! We plan to release the results in late February 2024, post the completion of the Mangetti-1X exploration well and a probe to the north of Venus. These findings will shape the projects next steps. Earlier production test on the Venus-1X discovery well exceeded expectations, fueling confidence in Venus's potential. With operations underway, TotalEnergies are optimistic about achieving similarly impressive results with Venus-1A. #TotalEnergies #OilDiscovery #NamibianEnergy #InnovationInEnergy #IntergateNamibia #crewchanges #workpermits #workvisas #namibiaimmigration
