One of the best ways to experience project management is through hands on simulation. Over the course of 14 weeks, students were challenged to put together their project charters with their unique project ideas and the end results are amazing every time!! #thestudentexperience #projectmanagement #brilliantminds #internationalstudents.

🌟 Closing One Chapter, Opening Another 🌟 As the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the lessons, challenges, and triumphs we’ve experienced. This past year has been one of growth, resilience, and learning. Every moment—whether a success or a setback—has added value to our journeys. Tomorrow, we welcome not just a new day but a new year filled with opportunities, fresh starts, and possibilities. It’s a chance to reset, refocus, and set meaningful goals for the path ahead. Here’s to embracing the unknown with courage and determination, to building connections, learning new skills, and achieving dreams we’ve yet to imagine. Let’s step into the new year with gratitude for what we’ve accomplished and hope for what’s to come. What’s one thing you’re proud of from this year, and what’s your focus for the year ahead? Let’s inspire each other to keep moving forward! 💪✨

Pause and Reflect ⭐️ So here are my key learnings from 22 years in the NHS and two years at Barts Health, spanning the journey from staff nurse to senior improvement advisor: 1. Be kind rather than be nice. 2. Listen—really listen. 3. Use simple language to communicate. 4. The strength of your leadership lies in the questions you ask. 5. Relationship building is powerful. 6. Align everyone to the problem: work as done vs. work as imagined? 7. Your network is your net worth. 8. Care about the details; excellence is built on small things. 9. Add meaningful value to patient care. 10. Common sense is not always that common. 11. Success often hides the struggle; remember so much gets untold. 12. A terrible chapter does not define your journey. 13. Never doubt yourself. 14. Reflect on the journey and be courageous to share the learning. 15. Remember to celebrate the small wins. 16. Follow your passion, vision, and drive—‘what matters to you.’ 17. Be grateful for the positive people in your life. 18. Use the power of storytelling to make your points and lead impactful conversations. A huge thank you to all the amazing people who have supported me (new and existing friends/colleagues) through this journey. I’m very grateful for your mentorship Natalie Doyle, kindness Collette McQueen and most importantly your friendship Mary Morris. I salute and thank you all! A special thank you Janet Coninx Patricia Hughes James Holding for seeing my potential in the early days.

As the year rushes toward its end, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness—wrapping up projects, planning holidays, and chasing deadlines. But how often do we pause to reflect? Reflect on the growth we’ve experienced. The opportunities we’ve taken—and the ones we’ve missed. The new experiences we’ve gained and the friendships we’ve built. In the rush to finish the year strong, we sometimes forget to pause, look back, and thank God. For His guidance through the challenges, His provision in the opportunities, and His grace that has carried us when we felt like giving up. It’s in these moments of reflection that we find renewed strength, deeper appreciation, and a heart full of gratitude to keep going. So, here’s a reminder: Well done. Well done for working hard through long nights without recognition. Well done for stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing challenges. Well done for navigating setbacks with perseverance and grace. And well done for achieving the wins—both big and small—that only you and God truly know about. Take a moment to celebrate yourself and thank God for how far He has brought you. You’ve done better than you realize. Let’s finish this year strong, with gratitude in our hearts and faith for what’s ahead.
