Have you ever noticed how business also follows the seasons? Have you ever started a project in winter and were feeling like something was off? I was inspired by the conversation with a friend and it makes a lot of sense to me. 🌷 As we transition into spring, we can beigin gearing up for a period of growth and renewal. This involves pushing ahead with client acquisition, making plans for existing projects, and identifying how we can further expand. ☀️ Summer is the time for implementing the plans made during the spring and enjoying the fruits of our labor. It's also an opportunity to embrace and explore any new opportunities that may come our way. 🍂 Autumn is the season for harvesting the results of all the work earlier in the year. This involves evaluating what worked well, what didn't, considering changes for the future, and preparing for the winter. ❄️ Winter - after the busy pre-Christmas period - is a time for slowing down, to scale back a bit, reflect on everything that happened in the year, and allow new ideas to surface so that we can carefully plan for the upcoming spring. I feel like spring is giving me so much energy right now and I can't wait to see what's coming up next. As a business owner, we all have high standards and mediocrity can be frustrating, but it's essential to remember that not all picture-perfect posts reflect reality. Despite experiencing personal and professional setbacks in 2023, I'm proud to say that we achieved a massive 40% increase in permanent placements, a significant accomplishment. However, we also lost a big temp contract because I refused to lower my margins for the 5th consecutive year and I was beginning to dread each Monday morning and its list of demands was taking its toll .. After 13 years in business I've learned that some people, including clients, staff, and close friends, can provide invaluable support and constant good energy so find your people and keep them close. To combat my mindset, I've enrolled in a new degree program with the REC and enlisted the help of the fabulous Kate O'Neill to promote new team goals and achieve a better balance. I've also promised myself to take a day off each Thursday to spend time with my family and work on fitness and my own personal ambitions📖👩👧👦 I'm excited to announce that we've already surpassed our January target of replacing old business with new clients, and we're moving our head office to a fabulous new space in Clockhouse Bromley to incentivize further growth 📆🚀 ✨If you had a tough year, remember that setbacks are an opportunity to turn things around.
