As the year draws to a close, it is time to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and thank everybody for another exciting year. Again this year, we got to work with many new and old clients in various industries and countries. This year's standout observation was that the NATO membership and slowness in the European economy have made many companies and organizations even more curious to explore business opportunities in the North American markets. This trend has been going on for some time but has visibly accelerated. Also, the statistics support this observation as this year, the exports from Finland to the U.S. grew 7.2 percent in Jan-Aug compared to last year. The U.S. has solidified its place in Finland's top 3 trading partners. Last year, it was #1, followed by Sweden and Germany. It was a special year due to the deliveries of big cruise ships. This year, the total value of exports to the U.S. in January-August was €4.5 billion.  The new year is expected to be a busy one. It will start in Jan-Feb with the webinars highlighting opportunities in the U.S. green hydrogen production and the U.S. transportation sectors. The webinars will be followed by the second round of the Canadian housing study webinar that was presented earlier this month. Stay tuned by following our LinkedIn page! Going global with Listen Bar has been a dream years in the making. Couldn't imagine a better way to do it than with next month's Listen Bar: Lisbon. As Fast Company wrote, alcohol-free travel is a rising trend, with over 40% of travelers planning an alc-free trip this year, and a "220% increase in travelers who do not drink alcohol" year-over-year. Holy stats! Incredibly excited to be hosting our FIRST-ever alc-free trip in May and bring Listen Bar from NYC to Lisbon. From alc-free dinner pairings, to rowdy bar crawls and our first-ever Listen Bar global party. It's time alc-free travel was seamless, stress-free and fun as hell.

Happy International Rum day!! And to boot, we’re a month old! What a way to celebrate, and what an incredible first month it’s been! Donna Harcus-Anderson and I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the unbelievable response we've received so far—thank you to everyone who's supported us on our journey to date! And what a month it’s been. Life is never linear…how boring would it be if it were! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t greyer for some of the unforeseen ‘bumps’ in the road, but ironically we are all the better for them! Before we embarked on this journey I was gifted some words of wisdom that have rung so true in this first month and so as I sit & reflect on a month well done, I thought I’d pass them on! *Act fast when something’s not right* As it transpired, we had such incredible feedback on our 52North branding that our gut told us to rebrand our originally named ‘52N’ liqueurs before they established - it was the best decision yet! *It’s ok not to know everything* If we waited to have all the information, quite honestly we wouldn’t be launched. We’re 100% learning on the fly, learning from anyone and everything as we go! Take a leap of faith. What do you have to lose!? *Always expect the unexpected* (and plan for it!).* Not everything will go to plan, and that’s okay, flexibility is key to navigating challenges. It will keep you sane and steady and allow you to find solutions quicker. So at the end of month one, we’re celebrating: - overwhelming success from our first show. - a successful meeting with HMRC resulting in recieving our AWRS license (which allows us to sell B2B). - our first official listing (more to come soon). - a jam packed Q4 of shows ready and waiting, which we’re incredibly excited for! Come and raise a glass of British made rum with us! Preferably, a glass of 52North!🥃

As I headed off to board my flight to New Zealand to assist one of my clients, I noticed how the Christmas decorations have started to appear everywhere (yes it was the 1st of Dec as I left). Listening to clients, random people, the voice in my own head, it highlighted the fact that December is basically 'two ends of the same stick' for most people. This time is either; ✔ The busiest time of the year for their business (or life) ✔ The time of the year they prepare to slow down Some people are looking back at 2024 lamenting; ❌ All the things that went wrong ❌ All the things they didn't do before the end of the year Some people are looking forward to 2025 think about; 🚀 How this is going to be their best year ever 🚀 There is so many wonderful things / experiences awaiting for them.
