IACP donated a new lidar to the Secretary of Transportation Control of the Secretary of Citizen Security in Mexico City, Mexico in June under the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety. Additionally, the officers received technical and practical training from the vendor that will allow them to seamlessly incorporate the new technology into their cadre of equipment to reduce road traffic fatalities. #TrafficSafety

🌟 Exciting News from Our Charity Mission! 🌟 Dear LinkedIn Community, I'm thrilled to share a recent project that's very close to my heart – a video I edited for a noble cause that's making a significant impact in our world. 🎥 The Project: Our charity organization is on a mission to make a difference by utilizing technology for good. We aim to gather funds for drones that can be deployed in critical situations to save lives. The video I crafted is designed to capture the urgency of our mission and the profound effect these drones can have. 💡 The Vision: In today's interconnected world, it's not just about providing aid – it's about providing smart aid. Drones can swiftly navigate to areas that are otherwise hard to reach, delivering essential supplies, and performing reconnaissance missions to aid rescue operations. 🚀 The Impact: Each drone we acquire extends our capability to respond to emergencies faster and more efficiently. From natural disaster zones to conflict-affected regions, these UAVs are revolutionizing the way humanitarian aid is delivered. 🤝 The Collaboration: Creating this video was a collaborative effort, bringing together passionate volunteers, skilled professionals, and the generous hearts of our donors. Your support is what makes this vision a reality. 📹 The Video: Through powerful visuals and compelling storytelling, the video showcases the transformative potential of drones in humanitarian aid. It's not just a call to action – it's an invitation to be part of a larger movement that leverages technology for the greater good. 🙏 A Call to Support: Join us in this journey to innovate aid and save more lives. Your contributions, whether spreading the word or donating, are invaluable. While we are actively working to get 10 cars for our defenders, we are not forgetting their other crucial needs. One of these is ELINT. ELINT - Electronic Signals Intelligence. ELINT blocks signals, including satellite, mobile, and most importantly, drone communications. This prevents enemy drones from targeting our defenders. We recently bought one for the unit where our colleague's father serves. ELINT is already in place and protecting our defenders from enemy drone threats. Big shoutout to Oleksandr Zhmurko from UAPP for pitching in for the Special Operations Forces equipment fund! Thanks for backing us up – it means a lot. We're getting closer to that 100k goal because of you! Every bit helps, and your donations are seriously making a difference. Anyone else who wants to chip in, here's where you can: https://lnkd.in/eG8wTM6t ---- My close friend serves in the Special Operations Forces (SOF). They operate in extremely challenging conditions, often beyond the usual limits. SOF works covertly, often without official acknowledgment. Their missions vary widely, including sabotage, reconnaissance, rescue operations, and direct engagement with enemy forces. Currently, there's an urgent need for advanced drone equipment. The existing drones, limited to a range of 3-5 km, fall short of the demands of SOF missions. The standard equipment supplied is simply not up to the task, often failing to reach intended targets. To address this gap, they're now raising funds independently to secure the necessary equipment. I would be grateful for any help. Monobank jar: https://lnkd.in/eG8wTM6t

Dear network - I rarely take advantage of online presence for non-professional aims, but here's a noble exception. And in fact, it concerns you too. In late September I will be driving from Warsaw to Kiev, and I wish to fill the approximately 2m3 of space I have available in my car with medical aid that will go directly to Armed Forces of Ukraine units on the front lines. What I will be able to carry will, of course, be only a drop in the ocean of needs, but any material help counts. It actually does and saves lives. The war continues to take its toll, and whether you want it or not, it affects you too. With this fundraiser you genuinely have the chance to save someone's life. Donations can be made via the link below, with your name shown or anynomously. I am collecting donations to purchase emergency medical supplies for which the need was expressed by a first-line assault unit: 👉Tourniquets 👉Pulse oximeters 👉Oxygen in bottles 👉Evacuation slings 👉atraumatic scissors 👉Otoscopes with nozzles 👉Adrenaline (epinephrine) 👉Medications (entire list) 👉Soft stretchers 👉Surgical tubes 👉ENT probe 👉Bandages I am coordinating the logistics of the venture regarding the needs and transporting the purchased equipment from Kiev to the front line directly with the proven organizations Grupa Valentyna Ukraina (https://lnkd.in/d5KntZKA), On Guard UA (https://lnkd.in/dAqHydA8 and https://lnkd.in/dzcwfcnS) as well as my Ukrainian friends in Kiev. Excess funds relative to our identified needs can be transferred to other frontline units. If there is so much purchased equipment that I cannot fit all of it into my car, I will pass on the rest to the above-mentioned Grupa Valentyna, which regularly travels to the front with aid trucks. If the collection proves to be really successful, in addition to the purchase of the above-mentioned means and per the suggestions of the above-mentioned groups, I will consider buying DJI Mavic 3 model drones (PLN 7-8k/pc) which the front units badly need. One drone in a package takes up as much as an unpacked laptop. All expenses of the collected funds will be duly documented and made available in all transparency. Pics will be take at each stage (purchase/transport/delivery/frontline). Also, if you are aware of any sources that can give out any of the items listed above for free, or sell at better than market price, please do let me know. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me or reach out at: mfb94@cornell.edu Slava Ukraini! https://lnkd.in/dt9PcFuM

⚠️ “Don’t worry, that’s outgoing artillery” said our partner Viktoria, as we took a picture to thank our donors. ⚡ A few hours before we arrived, enemy shells hit Viktoria’s new office. 👶 2 days before we visit, 2 babies were born, 2.5km from the frontline. One of them is called Max. 🏥 In a hospital where enemy snipers watch the roof 👥 Many people, professionals, and doctors have fled the city while others stay because they have nowhere else to go. Driving there feels like driving through a ghost town. While visiting our partner in Kherson, we were again confronted with this reality. Max was born in a hospital that was severely damaged and where there was a constant threat of rockets, drones, and snipers. Against all odds, the hospital is operational. Even the Russian aggression cannot stop new Ukrainian life from seeking its way into this world. Max and his mother Katia are under the loving care of Svetlana (director) and her colleagues at the hospital. 🆘 Which help is needed? 1) The roof of the maternity ward is damaged and there are leaks. However, repairing the roof is currently too dangerous because of enemy drones 2) The X-ray room is severely damaged, because of a fire underneath and shelling in the room above. 3) A generator is required to ensure the hospital can stay operational during electricity black-outs 4) Create a call center to maintain contact between doctors and patients for whom it is too dangerous to walk or drive to receive medical care 5) The kitchen needs to be renovated, so they can prepare their food instead of spending money on buying food. 🤝How can we help people like Katia, her son Max, Svetlana, and Viktoria? Thanks to our donors, we can make a start with the renovation of the x-ray room, and purchase of the generator. However, we are not there yet. To complete all of the projects we need your help too. 👉 Donate now to help Kherson https://lnkd.in/e6pf_9ZC (include the project you want to support in the ‘project’ section) Jeroen Ketting Patricia Vogels Sylvia van den Brink Krasko Olga State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken Video credits: Oleksandra Lesianska #Reconstruction #Kherson #Healthcare #Hospital #maternityward #newlife
