Global Risk Consulting (GRC) Group looks forward to sharing some of our intelligence experiences with NZIIP Conference goers and sharing the stage with our Govt panel partners. One question should always arise from gathering and using Intel: how to operationalise this into both a strategic and operational risk management setting. Secintel, GRC Group Systems and Manaaki-CMS

🇨🇾 We're excited to reveal the second panel of On Tour II: a 90-minute sequel to one of the most upvoted presentations that we had at the Warsaw edition of the conference, last year. 🎙️ "Deceptively Obvious 2.0" is a case study by six industry lawyers who practice in five different countries. We will look at the real examples of contractual terms that seemed "obvious" when parties negotiated their deals – but turned out to be surprisingly complicated, when conflicts arrived. 🇺🇸 S. Gregory Boyd (Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz) from New York leads the panel. Joining him are 🇩🇪 Tobias Schelinski (Taylor Wessing Germany) from Hamburg, 🇬🇧 Paul Gardner (Wiggin) from London, 🇮🇹 Nicoletta Serao (LCA Studio Legale) from Milan, 🇬🇧 Nick Allan 🔜 GDC (Lewis Silkin) from London, and the old industry hand 🇨🇦Ryan Black (DLA Piper) from Vancouver. The six stories of this panel will be served in two parts, 45 minutes each, with a ☕️ coffee break in-between – a format that seems exceedingly useful, given how much content we plan to consume over the two days of the conference. #gamesindustry #videogames #litigation #contracts

The Organizing Committee for the 5th annual Grading Conference, to be held online, June 13-15, 2024, calls for self-nominations to a conference Program Committee, which will likely consist of ~8-12 volunteer members. This year, we are looking to broaden the representation of various disciplines (outside of only STEM fields) at the Conference, and so we seek committee members from a variety of backgrounds, disciplinary and otherwise. A member of the Organizing Committee will serve as Chair of the Program Committee and serve as liaison between the two. To nominate yourself as a member of the Program Committee, please fill out this form: https://lnkd.in/eaw4UN7w. Duties of the Program Committee members will include: ~3 meetings of 1-2 hours each via Zoom and outside time as needed to evaluate abstracts & correspond with speakers. The work will be divided between committee members as agreed by the group. Helping the Organizing Committee to shape the program for the conference. In the past, the program has consisted of presentations, workshops, and round–table discussions, with topics decided through a mix of community abstract submission and the organizing &/or program committees identifying other topics of wide interest to the community. Reviewing abstracts, accepting or rejecting abstracts, communicating with abstract authors about the status of their abstracts. Communicating with presenters. Obtaining permission from presenters to record their sessions and share any relevant materials, or making alternative arrangements with presenters. Organizing sessions, possibly consisting of multiple abstracts grouped by theme. Suggesting and organizing other sessions, like networking, social, etc. Distributing tasks as agreed upon amongst the various committee members. Timeline: Deadline to self-nominate for Program Committee: Feb. 1 Call for abstracts: Feb. 1 Abstracts due: March 15 Program finalized: May 1 If you have any questions, please email info@thegradingconference.com, and we will happily answer them!
