3rd Virginia Emergency Management Association Symposium in the books. Completely different outlook this year as an IHE EM, but also from the perspective of having served on Symposium Planning Committee. A couple of refections. • It's always great to catching up with colleagues. • It's always great hearing what colleagues/ speakers are doing and focusing on in the industry, and seeing how other industries are impacting the EM industry. • It's always great watching your colleagues growing their impact on their organizations and communities. • It's always great getting time with my mentors. Take time out for your professional development at industry symposiums. Refit - Rearm

Through the dedication of our volunteers, the Board of Executive Protection Professionals (BEPP) and Prometric has developed the "Executive Protection Domains of Competency". These Domains will form the foundation for the first comprehensive Board Certification Exam, rigorously assessing the knowledge and skills of executive protection professionals. I: Planning II: Operations III: Legal IV: Business V: Leadership VI: Information Security VII: Professional Attributes & Traits This achievement, a testament of over 20 hours of collaborative effort and based on the foundation laid by 400+ hours of work on the proposed ANSI Standard, demonstrates our unwavering dedication to raising the bar in executive protection. The BEPP doesn’t just talk about making change, we take action and are setting a new standard.
