What is the International Astronautical Congress? and Why get involved? With 6,000 delegates each year, it is the world's largest conglomerate of space experts and space agencies. Nelly runs two sessions where you should all submit your papers. 🔻 Session E1.2 "Decolonial Practices in Space" 🔻 Session E1.9 'Space Culture: New Processes of Public Engagement in Space through Culture and Art'. Practical info: - Deadline for all abstracts- 400 words max: 28th Feb - If your abstract is selected, you will need to come and present your paper at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan in October 2024. There are some scholarships available. - How can you submit your abstract: Create an account on the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) website Log in on the IAF directory, press submit an abstract to IAC 2024, scroll down to E1. IAF Space Education and Outreach Symposium. Then, you look for section E1.2 and/or E1.9, click on them and then you’ll be able to see and fill in the document to submit your abstract piece, no longer than 400 words. ❗👨🚀 PROPOSALS FOR EXPERIMENTS THAT A CZECH ASTRONAUT COULD CONDUCT ON THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION. In 2022, the European Space Agency selected 17 new astronauts: 5 career astronauts, 11 reserve astronauts, and one parastronaut. I am very happy that one of the reserve astronauts is Czech fighter pilot Ales Svoboda. Ales does not have any planned space flight yet, but the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic has recently issued a formal RFI (Request for Information) to map the interest of the Czech space industry in experiments that a Czech astronaut could conduct on the International Space Station. The interest in these experiments will be one of the important factors that the Czech government will consider in the future when deciding whether to support a Czech astronaut flight. Really looking forward to welcoming this Aussie delegation to ESA’s European Astronaut Centre, and especially helping to foster opportunities for collaboration - there are so many! I’m blown away by all that I’m learning and the breadth and magnitude of what could be possible. On-site here at the EAC (and also with our neighbours DLR) are human spaceflight and microgravity sci-related capabilities including: - Microgravity sciences (e.g. materials, fluids, life sciences, biology, life support systems, physiology, nutrition, medicine, etc) - Payload and ISS experimental facility engineering - Operations (e.g. eurocom, medical/fitness, payloads, scientific missions) - Medical support (astronaut health development and maintenance on Earth and in space) - Lunar robotics analog that’s in development (LUNA) - Training approaches, knowledge and tools (for Astronauts, ASCANS, ISS operators, flight surgeons, VR and AR tech for astronauts, underwater facility to prepare for spacewalks, parabolic flight expertise, etc) - Crew support processes and tools - Preparations for next-gen activities, strategies and facilities - Lots of experts with insights from their lived experiences to learn from - Astronaut outreach, support to educational activities and comms - …and so many more. Commercial Flights and Short Stays on the ISS: A Current Overview **Commercial flights to the ISS** are available, and several companies are offering these services. While the frequency of flights can vary depending on factors like demand, mission requirements, and technical considerations, there are plans for a significant increase in commercial spaceflight activity in the coming years. **SpaceX** is one of the leading companies in this field, with its Dragon spacecraft being certified for human spaceflight by NASA. The company has successfully launched multiple crewed missions to the ISS, including those carrying commercial astronauts. **Other companies** like Axiom Space and Blue Origin are also developing spacecraft and services for commercial spaceflight, including trips to the ISS. Their goal is to make space travel more accessible and affordable. **The ISS** has a certain capacity for accommodating visitors, both astronauts from partner space agencies and commercial space travelers. While the exact number of flights and short stays per year can fluctuate, the station is designed to support a continuous presence of crew members. **Key factors influencing the frequency of flights and stays:** * **Demand:** The number of commercial astronauts interested in visiting the ISS will significantly impact the frequency of flights. * **Technical capabilities:** The availability of spacecraft, launch vehicles, and support infrastructure will determine the operational capacity. * **International agreements:** The ISS operates under international agreements, and any changes in these agreements could affect commercial access. **In summary**, commercial flights and short stays on the ISS are a reality, and the frequency of these activities is expected to increase in the future. Companies like SpaceX are leading the way, and the ISS is equipped to accommodate a growing number of visitors.

We work toward the new era of international relations with space exploration and its future outlook as the next important economic corridors. With such realization, the intragovernmental organization, United Space Organization, was established under the Special Resolution of General Mandate Comittee of the United Nations. It was the multilateral co-operation of the members of the United Nations, embodied by the spirit of peaceful exploration of space, which an accords for the development of New Economic Corridors between the Earth and Moon was being made as an international endeavour. To that end, which pretty much a beginning for mankind's next frontier to venture into another planet, is the culmination of special joint-venture project from all the member states, the International Lunar Outpost. A new symbol of peaceful economic co-operation between the state actors under the shared common goals to advancing human presence on another world, on both technological readiness prospect and economic opportunity, the International Lunar Outpost is also our most important project so far. Our divisions of technology groups, from the ground team, research and development, mobilization of assets for spaceflight system complex, and astroworker on the moon that proudly marching from all over the world for the historic feat. We are together in missions of erecting one of mankind's most technologically challenging megaproject ever to be undertaken in our lifetime.
