madhuthangavelu   55m What to do with the International Space Station(ISS) when the facility is retired?...that seems to be the question hovering over us right now... NASA's imagination(and budget) seem to be running dry? In our Moon book, we suggest creating an International Space Artifacts Museum in a high parking orbit where ISS would be the first exhibit, preserved for generations to come. As so many thought leaders have said, we should find ways to protect and preserve our collective species heritage, not destroy them. And the ISS and observatories like Hubble and JWST have deep symbolism associated with them. Their value that far exceeds the science and technology of our time. Forget the budget. The sheer "elbow grease" that went into bringing the world of nations together to create and maintain the ISS program far exceeds all the budget woes and associated drama. And that is why we have cultural heritage sites and museums around the globe, folks.... to protect and preserve the continuity of thought and creativity of our species and our civilization, lest we forget how we became what we are today... and what our aspirations are for tomorrow...what we hope to be... Our leaders know this, and our architects stand ready to act too!

When we talk about the futile efforts of physics scientists and the deviation of public opinion and misuse of science, we must point to this clear example: https://lnkd.in/d8REEmAG Physicists know very well that their efforts to measure many subatomic particles from the Big Bang are futile. But they still try to measure them and spend the taxpayers' budget. This means that even if it is successful, it is not worth much. Meanwhile, they do not make any efforts for the third type aerosols that left the water environment and dried up due to the construction of water structures and entered the atmosphere. Aerosols that have dried up the world's trees and atmospheric lenses are carrying out the mission of the natural suffocation cycle of the earth and the rapid evaporation of water and desertification of many countries, which are undoubtedly not important for physics scientists. As the space domain continues to evolve and new, innovative activities are introduced, clarity around which agency is regulatorily responsible -- and for what -- is vital for the success of NASA’s mission. This week, the National Space Council introduced Biden-Harris Administration-proposed legislation that will create a regulatory pathway to provide clarity, predictability, timeliness, and flexibility for U.S. industry seeking approval for their activities in space. This is a major space policy milestone.   From sending commercial payloads to the Moon to new commercial destinations in low-Earth orbit, NASA is increasingly partnering with commercial space companies to achieve our mission. This proposed legislation is an important step forward for U.S. leadership in space, and we need action on this proposal to ensure our industry has the clarity it needs from the U.S. government to continue growing our space economy.  NASA also needs to know who our interagency partner will be in these bold endeavors so we can support the growth of industry and advance our mission. We especially thank the Department of Transportation and the Department of Commerce for working closely together for this proposal.   Technologies will evolve, and new ideas will surface, but how we explore – our guiding strategy and the policy that shapes and documents it should be built for the long-term. Congratulations to the Office of the Vice President and the National Space Council for creating a proposal that will pave the way for a more prosperous and sustainable future in space!

Two years ago, the Israeli Rakia Mission successfully introduced a groundbreaking approach of open access to human spaceflight missions, as part of the AX-1 mission to the ISS. The mission served as an innovative platform to conduct dozens of experiments for hundreds of entrepreneurs, scientists, companies, and organizations, making a significant impact. Last week, the Israeli Space Week took place in a slightly different format, due to the difficult times our country is currently going through. This year's Space Week focused on the challenges and opportunities that the space industry is facing in the current reality, and its potential contribution to the Israeli economy. During the event, we made a significant announcement – revealing that the Rakia Mission and the Israel Space Agency are establishing the first Israeli Space Forum. There is no doubt that the space industry can serve as a vehicle for economic and social growth today, perhaps more than ever before. To promote the space industry in Israel and move it forward, the establishment of this forum expresses the necessity of a partnership between various entities in the country. Through the forum, companies, startups, and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to interact with investors, government bodies, academia, and local and global space representatives.
