1moYou guys need to step it up for the working guys at United . Starting pay of $32.65/hr for facilities technician is horrible in this economy. Sure, pay gets better when you tap out at 8years but it shouldn’t take that long nor should the starting pay be this low. If the Head president of the Union earns a defined benefit pension he can enjoy at retirement for life, then so should a United airlines represented employee. Bring back DB pensions because a 401k is unacceptable while the union president gets a real DB pension for life. Lastly, we are talking about a company that rakes in billions of dollars a year, medical should be 100% covered by the employer. No UA employee should have to pitch in for medical out of their pockets. Companies like this sometimes forget who the real employees and contributors are to their success earning billions. Don’t see the CEO making any cuts in his package, why should the teamsters at United have to. Learn from the Internarional longshoremen’s Association because their union president is no B.S. He is demanding better wages and job security and every east coast port is going on strike effectively 10/2/24. They will lead the way to show the other unions, we all need to fight greedy corporations
