Our Head of International Affairs, Léa Auffret, continues her work as one of the Vice Chairs of the EU Domestic Advisory Group, which oversees the implementation of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement post-Brexit.   Each year, civil society groups from both sides of the Channel come together to shape the future of this critical relationship. This year’s joint statement outlines the essential consumer protections needed for the EU-UK relationship to thrive: Activate without further delays the cooperation between EU and UK market surveillance authorities to swiftly address dangerous products. 👉 Enhance collaboration on food safety and explore a veterinary agreement. 👉 Ensure the highest standards of protection in chemical safety. 👉 Provide clarity on visa and passenger data processes, as new requirements are on the horizon. 👉 Keep in mind Northern Ireland's unique situation and the challenges consumers there continue to face.   This statement sends a unified message from civil society in both regions and should be a priority for the new EU Commission and Parliament. Special thanks to the EU and UK DAG Presidencies and the dedicated members of each DAG for their commitment.
