As the number of people with type 2 diabetes grows worldwide, new strategies are needed to manage the condition. Increasingly, more people are being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes earlier in life – even below age 40 – with complications already present at diagnosis. Women leaders in diabetes discussed strategies to address the growing number of people with type 2 diabetes at a recent event in Hamburg, Germany during EASD 2023.
