Different types of light from LEDs (light-emitting diodes) can help certain cells grow and develop. In this study, researchers looked at how green and red LED lights affected cells taken from human umbilical cords (Whartons Jelly), which are often used in medical research for regenerative medicine. They tested both constant and on-and-off exposure to green light (530 nm) and red light (630 nm). The results showed that these lights increased the activity of specific genes and proteins related to nerve cell development, including nestin, β-tubulin III, and Olig2. The study also found that using both green and red lights together boosted the effects more than using either light alone.
