Caitlin Clark & the Hawkeyes epitomize Iowa’s traditions of success spanning from Sports Illustrated All Century, Nile Kinnick, (Heisman Trophy) to Coach Lisa Bluder and even to businesses like Casey's. Caitlin Clark, Nile Kinnick, Coach Bluder & Lady Hawkeyes Basketball could have gone to larger schools with championship programs. Yet, they chose to remain rooted in small-town Iowa, driven to bring championships to their community. Iowa epitomizes small Agriculture town work, professional & personal ethics. Strategic Resource Group (SRG) w/ Henry Mellet, Paul Bauer, Butch Castellani helped catalyze the Iowa defense of its biggest co., Casey's from a hostile, foreign take over. For Casey’s Board, we analyzed 17 major C&G and General Store chains in USA, Canada & Japan. Goldman Sachs was strongly considering recommending selling CASY for $32-$34/share. I stayed up all night prior to our Board presentation, studying Nile Kinnick’s U. Iowa Commencement, Heisman Trophy & his other important speeches & writings to glean the importance of Iowa’s independence in business, which we presented with powerful pride & factual, analytical foundations. Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, supported our SRG view that Iowa and Casey’s would be better w/CASY independence for Consumers, Workers & Iowa & USA vendors for quality, fresh foods, competitive prices, and public safety. Like Kroger and Target, Casey’s has the best stores’ staffing policies to be #1 in both Quality & safety from small Agriculture/Farm towns to bigger cities. Casey’s dynamic leadership team strongly supported both Women’s & Men’s Hawkeye Nation and independence. Like Caitlin Clark, Coach Lisa Bluder & team, Casey’s Executives & Board epitomized decisive leadership from both the Executive team & Board: late/great CEO, Ron Lamb, Robert (Bob) J. Myers, Bill Walljasper, Terry Handley, and Julie Jackowski, Esq. & Casey’s Independent Board members: Mmes. Diane Bridgewater, Larree Renda, and Jackowski with Messrs. Jeff Lamberti (founding family), Ken Haynie, Esq., H. Lynn Horak, William (Bill Kimball), Johnny Danos. From successfully defending a hostile takeover with the tremendous Cravath Law Litigation & Corporate team: Wes Earnhardt, Esq., Bob Baron, Esq., and Allen Finkelson, Esq., Casey’s & Caitlin Clark & Coach Lisa Bluder continued Nile Kinnick Iowa All-American winning ways. Casey’s is the largest USA owned/operated Food, General & Fuel stores. Casey’s stock price traded at a recent high of $324/share, a 1,000+% total return with dividends since Casey’s won its independence in 2010 for Iowa vs. powerful foreign, hostile buyers. Cheers to Caitlin Clark, Coach Lisa Bluder & team, and congratulations to Louisiana State University, University of Connecticut with Coach Chris Dailey, HoF Stanford Coach Tara Ann VanDerveer, & HoF NCAA & Olympic Gold Medal star, SC’s Dawn Staley & team, & all of Hawkeye & Beth Ford's Iowa State University Cyclones Nation, and Casey's from Iowa & across America.

Interesting article about a new survey that says trade associations are shifting from their traditional advocacy roles to becoming strategic partners within their industries. Leaders are feeling more confident, with 58% optimistic about their overall situation and 66% expecting revenue improvements. This evolution includes substantial new initiatives focused on strategic partnerships, education, and awareness-building. Despite a 32% anticipated increase in flagship meeting attendance, associations still face challenges in reaching pre-COVID levels. As most of you probably know, it was International Women's Day last week, a day where our feeds are inundated with posts celebrating the occasion. Over the past few years, companies have started to see the value in celebrating the day, and typically like to make a fuss. But, there’s one thing they all have in common - they’re performative. That’s why I wanted to share my favourite IWD campaign from Molson Coors Beverage Company, a Canadian beer company that recently announced a multi-year partnership with the Women’s Hockey League. The brilliance of their campaign comes from the fact that they actually solve a problem. I’ve left the video below so you can see for yourself, but I’ll give you a quick overview. 👇🏻 👱🏻♀️ For a game played on IWD, Molson switched around their logo with the player's name, solving a long-standing problem - a female player's ponytail covering her name on her jersey. It may seem silly or trivial, but it’s yet another instance where we see that the game (and the world) isn’t designed for women. Do you think Lionel Messi or LeBron James would have their names covered while they play? 🏒 Molson wanted to fix this. Solving this small issue allowed each player to be seen and recognised out on the ice, and also feel valued by their team and their fans. Rather than superficially celebrating with Social Media posts or gifts, Molson showed their appreciation by actually solving a problem. It’s yet to be confirmed whether or not this will be a permanent solution, or a limited edition change to celebrate International Women’s Day. Let’s hope it stays, otherwise, is this yet another performative campaign? https://lnkd.in/ePRGbvhn
