Feel so happy to see the inauguration of 20KVs and 13 NVs. Literally feel like jumping. 👏 👏 👏 More happy than to see AIIMS , IITs and IIMs or any other universities. Because strong basic education is the most essential factor to build anything like team, company, family or nation. We need such schools at least few 1000s in numbers. We have ample number of examples such as dhirubhai ambanij who had the education of just 10th std.
Few more ideas to reduce illiteracy.
a) People who are illiterate and above the age of 40, can be taught through 'summer camps in schools and temples'.
b) Less fortunate kids can be taught through 'night schools' specially in KVs irrespective of age group. There are many teachers who can handle multi subjects. Opportunity must be provided for such teachers. Special remuneration can be given for such tutors. Night schools can be run for a very minimal fee as it's meant for totally less fortunate pupils.
c) 'Expansion of existing KVs and NVs' so that it can accommodate more students. May be a slightly complicated procedure, but it can definitely be done.
Building more KVs in tier 2 and tier 3 cities is essential. Changes in fees' structure is a must. Because people are paying more than 25,000 RS to a private school. So they can definitely afford more than the present fee structure of 10,000 to 15,000. People with higher income must be charged with donation amount. (At-least additional 5000 RS with which night schools can be managed). For sure, if you don't change the fee structure, things will run on no loss, no gain basis.
